Re: The Alaska Warriors Reboot

Good analysis for Northwestern, I can appreciate the thought and effort put in to your decisions on it.

It was a decent year for the Warriors. Back to back wins over ranked opponents is nice, and capping a 5-7 year with a win over a big boy like USC is a good building block.

The Alaska Warriors took an unexpected step forward this year. Personally, I expected them to go something like 3-9 based on how rough last year was. But I was pleasantly surprised by their performance in some of their games. They had opportunities in a few games, notable against Akron, UGA, and Western Michigan. They also very easily could've lost a couple of their games. When Raymond Breedlove took over, it seemed like the offense played better.

Re: The Alaska Warriors Reboot

Year 2 Offseason

It was an eventful offseason for the Warriors. Coach Hardaway was offered a few coordinator jobs as well as some lateral head coaching jobs, but he opted to stay with Alaska. There was also a rumor of an extension but those talks were shelved.

Players Leaving

For some reason, four players decided to declare for the draft. The highest rated one was Jared Martinez at 75 overall, but he was a 4th round projection. Weirdly enough, Darrin Pierre who was 71 overall was drafted in the second round. I didn't convince him to stay because his stock was so high. I did convince the rest to stay but didn't attempt to convince Pierre.

So, Darrin Pierre becomes the first Warrior ever drafted. My assumption is that with the way the rosters were, there weren't as many eligible draftees. The rosters were mostly made of freshmen and sophomores.

Transfers

Alaska gained two transfers. They gained a 78 overall sophomore runningback from Toledo, and a 66 overall DE from Wyoming.

Redshirts

WR Mike Carroll 57, Lionel Cox 53
RT Lee Stewart 62
DE Jeremy Heath 60
MLB Paris McKinney 56
S Mark Richardson 61, Jason Horton 60
Medical Redshirts to WR Rodney Fuller and OLB Vincent Crum, both of which suffered torn ACLs in non-contact injuries during Spring Camp.

For some reason, the game glitched when creating my schedule. I had the games set correctly and the locations correct, but after starting the season, a few games have changed locations. I'm not sure why.

Washington, Akron, and Ohio State were all scheduled to be away games but for some reason changed to home. That means I have 8 home games if that is correct. Which sucks. Also, my games against Western Michigan and UNLV are two days apart. So we'll just play the games as is. I'm not sure if I can use the editor to fix those or not, but I'll see. Anyway, here is the schedule as currently constructed.

Thanks to a backup save I can fix my schedule. I’m still trying to figure out how to fix the CPU schedules though.

Re: The Alaska Warriors Reboot

Update

Hey all, I've spent a lot more time than I'd have liked tinkering with schedules. My schedule is fixed, and all teams now have 12 games. I still have a few more things I need to fix (like Georgia-Georgia Tech getting canceled for my game with them), but I'm getting closer to getting this thing started. Next time I have to mess with schedules I'll be better prepared, and I'm sorry to keep you waiting. I've been really wanting to play but dealing with screwy schedules has really taken it's toll lol.

I look forward to continuing with the dynasty.
