Not enough. Montero has really little value. Wilhelmsen is just a pen arm. Miller is ok, but not near enough for Zobrist. I'd advise you to wait a couple of months and then offer up a SP as the centerpiece (Paxton, Hultzen, or Iwakuma) and go from there with adding in Miller and maybe a third small piece if Zobrist is playing like Zobrist.

Fairness wise though, it's tough because Jeter is going to retire so you're going to pay for a half a season of a barely decent 40 year old. I don't think he helps their team that much. Send them a low B if you're adamant on him playing in Pittsburgh. Jacoby Jones works.
Fairness wise, I'd think Konerko for Blake Treinen straight up is okay. Austin Voth + Nick Pivetta is spreadsheet value.
Almost the same situation as Jeter, Konerko isn't going anywhere and is about to retire.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'll just suggest that for the 2 or 3 guys who are constantly restarting with a team that has a good farm only to propose 5-6 trades (or a single 20 player deal, lol) why not a fantasy draft? If you put some house rules on your drafting that limit the amount of under-25 age players/prospects you can draft, there's no reason you won't end up with a team that has players you'll like and will hold your interest while avoiding the feeling of guilt that sets in when you have Mike Trout, Manny Machado, Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, Byron Buxton, Dylan Bundy, Noah Snydergaard, Archie Bradley, Taijuan Walker, Yasiel Puig, Nolan Arenado, Trevor Rosenthal, Carlos Martinez, and Addison Russell all on the same team.#HellaBandz

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'd really like to go after Stanton with a package based around Taijuan Walker. Any ideas on added pieces? Or any other suggestions? Im in need of a corner OF RH bat and I'm playing well so ok with going win-now.Comment

That's possible. I'd search the thread for Stanton trades. I know Stanton to Seattle has been discussed a lot in here both this year and last year.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Yea I've done some searching and it's pretty much documented that it's Walker for sure, which I figured. I just discovered the spreadsheet though, and that helps a lot. Great work to who put that together!Comment

The idea would be to figure out what else you'd need to add to Taijuan Walker to equal Stanton's value. From there it's just whatever haggling that goes on between people who answer your post.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Yes it is a nice tool. Credit to AC, Totte, and 37 who I think are mostly responsible for it.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Prospects, prospects, prospects. None of those guys hold any value, like WTNY said. Paxton + Diaz/Sanchez would be my suggestion.
I would strongly recommend finding someone else to trade to the Pirates. There are plenty of replacement level SS that could fill in there not named Derek Jeter. You understand it's not realistic at all though, so that's all I'll say.

I know they are going to retire and these teams are renting them for a half season but I'm ok with that. They are doing no good sitting on teams who won't make the playoffs and then retire. Fun to get them in one last pennant race before they retire. If for whatever reason they don't they are both FA so I'll be sure to have them both go back to the Yankees and White Sox lol.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
As the Braves I'm looking to trade for Juan Francisco 1B. Jason Heyward just got injured for 3-4 months (currently in early May), I would like to get a better hitter in my lineup. My roster is about default, with Nick Castellanos in RF (3B before JH injury), Coco Crisp in CF, and I called up La Stella to play everyday at 2B. A couple of my options are to either keep Castellanos at 3rd, and move either BJ Upton, Aaron Shipman (FA signing), Ryan Doumit (and call up another C), or bring in another 3B. I've tried filling in all three of these guys, but Upton and Shipman don't have enough of a bat to replace Heyward, and I would rather use Doumit as a DH, or substitute C,1B,RF. Francisco is listed as worth a high C and the Jays are in the cellar of the ALE, at 5 GB, so I'm thinking of someone like LF Josh Elander (23 60 high C) or C Victor Caratini (20 61 high C)? What do you guys think?
Elander AAA- .266 79AB 2HR 10RBI
Caratini A- hasn't played yet
Francisco MLB- .130 23AB 3HR 5RBIComment

What about Konerko for RP Aaron Barrett?

I don't think Konerko for Barrett would work. The Sox don't need a relief pitcher, prospects would work best. (Well, I mean they need pretty much everything, but since they're not competing, I don't think Barrett holds much value)
I don't quite agree that they're doing no good on those teams. Konerko is in a difficult situation with Abreu, but both players have been the faces of their franchises. It's just not realistic, and I couldn't do it in my franchise. To each his own, though.Comment
