Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok, my namesake and first born will have size but he's my engineer, my second born is my athlete but will have my size. They are 6 and 5 respectively. Let's consider them long term prospectsif I get a 3rd, I'm filing some lawsuits.
With that being said, I'm willing to put Yelich in a package as the marlins are 2-3 years away from a wc run and i can replace his value in that timeframe. I was trying to help the MIN as they play in a pitchers park and have no pitching (while replacing the corner if prospect). Do I go Yelich and 2 pitching prospects or keep evoldi as someone that could help them today?"for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

So how do you guys handle the spreadsheet once your through season 1? Do guys lose value as they age in terms of aging veterans like say David Wright? Do prospects gain value and if so is it based solely on production to date, rating or potential? Just curious how you guys handle the spreadsheet once you've played through season 1 and guys are changing in terms of ratings and in some cases potential as well.Comment

Spreadsheet is a decent base. It isn't gospel. It isn't always even effective for year one."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Heaney + Turner + Ozuna?
It's kinda hard since so many of Marlins prospects aren't listed, especially their pitching prospects. I would consider 3B Moran, but dealing a 3B prospect to get a 3B prospect back...might not make sense?"Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I like AC's idea of Nicolino or someone in that vicinity. Or maybe some other decent B-potential pitcher similar to him.
I just don't want to give up Yelich as I like him, but, maybe it would be worth the sacrifice and I did draft a solid OF prospect in the second round...
Though I'd rather add Yelich than Kolek. Hard to trade a 99 MPH pitcher who's already starting to hack it in AAA for me at 19."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my franchise 30 team control, coming up on the break angels are trying to get Chris archer.
LAA in 1st, 3.5 up on rangers, 4 on the A's.
TB 4th in east, 9 back of O's, 7 out of wc.
Archer is 3-5 with a 4.96 era.
C.J. Cron 54ovr, 85pot, in AAA hitting .258 12hr, 40 rbi
Rays wanted something around around C.J. Cron in the proposed trade. NPC wanted to basically do it straight up, what's a more realistic package for archer.Comment
