Very true. I guess I'm just thinking I "may" be able to get something a little better elsewhere.
    Sanchez shouldn't be a High C, he is the M's #6 prospect.

And they wouldn't trade him and Hultzen or Paxton for Cuddyer when you just said he is hitting .240 ish. We have enough of those type of OF's in Seattle.

M's don't give away prospects cheaply and have held off trading anybody except Pryor for Morales.

Until the M's get a new GM I just don't see them making to many deals as Jack Z is well known to be hard to make deals with. He tends to talk alot but just never pulls the trigger.

I'm a little more willing to blame the lack of moves more on ownership than Jack but like to hear M's fan opinions as half way accurate west coast news is tough to get on the east coast.

I am a Paxton fan, how is his value locally? Let's say the Marlins are shopping, does Chisek+ work or would it need to be centered around a bat?

Cuddyer was hitting .259 at the time and I'm just going off of what the roster I'm using has him as (Sanchez that is) (I checked his potential and it was a 79 and the roster is OSFM Hybrid). They do have the second best record in the AL, behind Oakland and all three OF spots were struggling severely, so maybe they'd overpay?

These are just some potential rationalizations. Any potential tweaks that could make this work in your opinion?

**Side note, I made sure to do the Morales trade, and last I checked they had him penciled in as the starter at 1B. Smoak is DHing**

Maybe. He might have started a C in my Franchise, but he is a B now after going 12-4 in AA.

However I still disagree that Cuddyer is worth both Sanchez and Hultzen/Paxton

Sanchez and Hultzen sure. Paxton no.

Not sure you can blame ownership, they ponied up the money to sign Cano. I have read numerous reports that Jack is tough to deal with and tends to like to talk but when it comes time to pull the trigger that's where it stops, because he has a hard time saying goodbye to the guy's he drafted and traded for. Could be a big reason why Ackley and Smoak are still M's.

To be honest, havn't heard much on Paxton. Some scouts still view him as a middle of the rotation starter, well others then he is going to be better suited for the bullpen.

In my Franchise I put him in the rotation as my #5 and he went 10-10 with a ERA around 3.88.

If the M's are playing anything like real life in your Franchise, then my guess is they would be more focused on bats, only because the bullpen has been great, with Rodney closing the door now, Farquhar moving to the 8th, plus Beimel, Furbush, Medina, ect, not sure how much they would need Chisek.

However if their bullpen isn't pitching well, then I could see them adding a arm to help them. I personally would love to have Carter Capps back

FWIW Sanchez is an 82 POT in the upcoming Hybrid V3 release.

So I want to see what I would need to give up to try and get Beltre. I hate inter division trades but I'll see how this goes lol.
Beltre is hitting .236 this year and hit .243 last year. I know the Rangers will want something good but I think these last two years will lower his price a bit. The rangers are at the bottom of the division and I am 1 GB of the WC (yeah that's right, the Astros)
I honestly don't know what they would want back for him though any suggestions?

I just don't see the M's giving up 2 promising arms for a guy hitting below .260.

I would be fine with just Hultzen and a lesser SP who is not in the M's Top-20 rankings, Sanchez was #6 before the new rankings came out today and now is #14.

Basically I think you could take your pick from

Hultzen, Sanchez, Pike, Diaz, Goharra but not 2 of them and add in maybe a bullpen arm like Medina, Bawcom, Luetge.

of if you really want 2 SP's I would think 1 prospect and maybe a guy like Maurer, Beavan or A. Fernandez who are more of a Mid C type guy.

What are the base values for Devon Travis (2B, Detroit)? I'm looking to trade him in the offseason but his name isn't in the spreadsheet.

That's because he wasn't on the Tigers 40 man roster to begin the season. Since he's a
BA Top 30 Prospect for Detroit, he'll be in the next deadline release.

Don't have the handbook with me at work today but shooting from the hip he's two high C's

                                Soler to Boston
                                Barnes and Ranaudo to Chicago

I think Chicago may need to add another player but I plan on having Russel or Bryant in RF and Schwarber in left so Soler seems like the best player to sell and get back some pitching. I think Soler would start in a corner spot for Boston no later than opening day 2015 barring a free agent splash and Boston has a ton of pitching atm although that could change in the next week with Lester and Doubront possibly on the way out.

I am no expert so dont rip me a new one if the value is way off.
