Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If you're in a playoff position with your team it might not be a bad idea to get another bat in your lineup, but that all depends on how your team is doing. You can never have too much pitching so just hold onto him.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

I've been thinking about this for a little bit, who are realistic 2014-2015 off season trade targets? Anyone want to help me put together a little list?Phillies | A's | Michigan State | Browns | Chelsea FC | BruinsComment

I think after that the best way would be for you to maybe post a list of guy's who are making big money that under performed in your Franchise and list them here, so guy's who know their specific teams well, can give their opinion of the odds that their teams would move such said player.Comment

Thanks for the link, Deuce.
I was thinking along the lines of guys like Hamels, Stanton, Tulo, Cargo, etc.

I think with Stanton, Tulo and Cargo it will all come down to whether or not their teams win at all in your Franchise.
For me I don't see Tulo and Cargo going anywhere because they made the World Series, but in real life or in your Franchise if they continue to lose, I think the trade demands by the players would increase.
With Stanton it appears the Marlins are trying to win (Cosart trade), but again if they are continuing to be one of the worst teams in baseball it would make sense for them to move him for a huge package of prospects.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am looking for a someone to replace or split with Torii Hunter. His defense is atrocious and he is slumping really hard in my franchise. I am in 1st place in the division but I am sitting at .500. I am eyeballing a few players:
Nate Schierholtz - 1.1M - Cubs - .259/.304/.419 270 AB 11 HR 35 RBI
Michael Cuddyer - 7.4M - Rockies - .317/.361/.563 167 AB (been hurt) 12 HR 27 RBI
Seth Smith - 630K - Padres - .236/.321/.264 72 AB 0 HR 5 RBI
Padres are in 2nd place in their division and 1st in the WC. They don't seem to use him, though.
Matt Joyce - 1.2 M - Rays - .244/.344/.398 246 AB 10 HR 42 RBI
All of these players are in the last year of their contracts (I believe). I am looking to see what they would ask for in return. All teams are out of it, barring the Padres. Cuddyer is the only one I'd expect to be priced high, but maybe I could afford him as a rental.
Also, there are no preexisting injuries going into this franchise. I didn't feel like going through all 30 teams. So Jose Iglesias is up and Eugenio Suarez is available. Austin Jackson and Drew Smyly are gone due to the David Price trade.
I am looking for you guys to kind of haggle me. I don't want to just look up what the spreadsheet says because I don't want to give up the "mid C" guy that I want to give. Trying to make it unbiased.Nebraska Cornhuskers Detroit Tigers San Francisco 49ers Detroit Red Wings Syracuse Orange New York KnicksComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys, just an FYI, I don't respond to trade questions via PM and it's nothing personal. Just wanted to clear that up as I've received maybe 10 PM's or more this summer basically wanting a response faster than the thread can provide. PM'ing me is not a way to get your questions answered faster than people will respond in the thread. The thread does a much better job giving you multiple views than a response from one OS member anyway. If you have a good question, provide adequate data, aren't spamming/bumping your posts or being lazy and having the posters in here figure everything out for you, then your question will almost certainly get multiple responses.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
