Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The Jays need a major league ready 2B so it'd have to be Murphy or Flores IMO.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright guys - I'm in mid June and am way off the NL East pace and starting to fall way off the Wildcard pace as well so it's time to think about some deals.
First deal I've talked about before but now it's time to clarify for sure:
Phillies trade:
Cliff Lee
to
Dodgers for:
Joc Pederson, Julio Urias, Corey Seager
I know people have said that would be fair before but I'm just asking again before I finally make the deal. The Dodgers are way up in the NL West, but Dan Haren has a 5.60 ERA. I'd also be willing to add Jimmy Rollins who is having a decent year (.250 6 HR 25 RBI in early June) Hanley is playing great but Uribe is hitting an empty .215. Urias is out for the season, but he's in the long range plans.
If I do that deal I'd look to move Dominic Brown. The Rays have been trying very hard to move Chris Archer but have not gotten a deal worth taking yet from the computer. So I am thinking:
Phillies trade:
Dominic Brown (.301 5 HR 18 RBI) and Sevrino Gonzalez (MID B Triple A SP, 22 years old pitching great at AAA)
to Rays for:
Chris Archer
I'd be happy to take any other Brown trade scenarios if that doesn't seem like a fair deal.
I think the Lee deal is fine.
Archer isn't a realistic target since he's signed an extension with Tampa but he doesn't have the extension in the game (right?) and the CPU have been trying to move him? I'd say go for it thenFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm looking to add Darwin Barney as the Braves because a MI of Simmons + Barney excites me lol. Spreadsheet says two high Cs.
I was thinking Joey Terdoslavic + Aaron Northcraft, but that seems kinda high to me, what you guys think?Comment

Make that deal and get James Russell back as well? I assume you need another lefty in your pen besides Avilan right?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Also, I wouldn't mind moving Papelbon and he is tearing it up. Teams in the hunt with Closers performing terribly include:
Arizona, Dodgers, Angeles, and Mariners. Any idea for targets there?Phillies | A's | Michigan State | Browns | Chelsea FC | BruinsComment

I have Ian Thomas to roll with until Venters is healthy. You think I could get away with sending them one of Terd or Northcraft?Comment

If Barney is hitting terribly, yes. I think the Cubs would prefer Northcraft over TerdoslavichFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
He actually does have his 6 year deal with the OSFM roster. But the Rays have him on the block and are offering terrible trades to other computer teams to get rid of him. So I wasn't sure if that was fair game or not.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So, I haven't started up my Jays franchise yet, but I've been thinking of some deals that I could use to help out the team a bit. Some of these deals may seem pretty stupid, but that's because I kinda suck at trades (which is exactly why I'm hear asking for help).
Cliff Lee (Mid A, High B, Low B), for Aaron Sanchez (Low A, Mid B), Sergio Santos (Mid B), and AJ Jimenez (High C)
I really like what Cliff Lee has to offer, especially since the Jays rotation is lacking a decent left-hander other than Mark Buehrle. I'm willing to part with Aaron Sanchez and I feel that Sergio Santos is expendable because of the bullpen depth that the Jays have.
Matt Moore (Mid, A, High B) for Aaron Sanchez (Low A, Mid B), Sean Nolin (Low B)/Sergio Santos (Mid B) and AJ Jimenez (High C)
Once again, another lefty starter. Same thing basically, except I'm not sure if the Rays would be more interested in Sean Nolin or Sergio Santos. Nolin could be the left-handed replacement for Moore in the future, seeing that the Rays have a decent bullpen already.
Adeiny Hechavarria (High C, High C) for Juan Francisco (High C) and AJ Jimenez (High C)
I really like Hechavarria during his time in Toronto, and since the Jays are badly in need of a second baseman, I am thinking of bringing him back. Francisco could be the lefty power bat/first baseman that the Marlins need, and AJ Jimenez is a decent catching prospect.
Neil Walker (Low B, Low B) for Sergio Santos (Mid B) and AJ Jimenez (High C)
I like what Walker could potentially bring to the team, also a good fit for the second baseman that the Jays lack. Santos could be a good arm in a relatively weak bullpen and Jimenez could be their catcher of the future.
Brian Dozier (Low B, Low C) for Kevin Pillar (Mid C), Todd Redmond (Low C) and Juan Perez (Mid C)
Another second baseman that seems like a good fit for the Jays. Twins could use Redmond in the bullpen or rotation and Perez and Pillar are all decent depth guys.
That's all I have for now. All feedback is greatly appreciated!
