Both of you guys drop it. The user should know what the purpose of the thread is, but at the same time, it's the user's game and he will ultimately does what he pleases.

And like I said before, I got here when the thread was already around page 260 so I decided to skip to the back and start looking for deals. All I saw was "MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread".

And the Tigers didn't bite on that offer, so I'm still looking for ideas. Looking for a young, mid B closer, and a prospect SP.

Looking to potentially make some CPU trades in my franchise. It's almost the all star break and the Jays lead the AL East by 2 games. I don't know the stats off the top of my head, and I don't have my franchise loaded up at the moment, but I believe Samardzija has around a 3.90 ERA and 105 K's in 105 IP. Based off this, do you guys think the Jays might make a move for him? Like I said I'll be controlling this trade myself under 30 team control. If they would make this move, who would they send over to Chicago? Also looking to send David Price to a contending Texas team. What do you guys think about these moves?

I think you could get another prospect along with Montgomery.

I just took him straight up, I have a full roster and I probably could have only gotten a low C or D extra. Thanks.

Here is a nice list of players who could be moving at the trade deadline. Take a look at these and see if you want to move any of them.

Masterson, Alex Gordon, Gardner, Eithier, Crawford, Kemp, Headley, Josh Johnson, Price, Samardzija, Chris Carter, Sandoval, Pence, Granderson, Hamels, Papelbon, Lee, (maybe Rollins/Howard), Street, Aramis Ramirez, Jim Henderson, maybe Braun, Francisco Liriano, Aaron Hill, Alexi Ramirez, and under certain circumstances maybe even CarGo.


As far as Samardzija and Price go, here are two options.

Samardzija for Sanchez + Hutchison

I can't come up with an option for Price. I don't think the Rangers have the pieces for him. If I HAD to come up with one, this is it.

Price for Sardinas, Odor, Choice, Martin Perez, Leonys Martin and Luke Jackson.

Just wondering, do you guys have force trades on in your franchises? Seems like none of the offers I ever make go through.. I'm only 10 games in, so if I'm going to restart with force trades on now would be the time before I get too much further along.

i don't...with 30-team control, force trades isn't an issue

Yeah I was trying to play without 30 team this season, but I think I'm going to restart with it on, and maybe the hybrid rosters.

I always spend so much time trying to "perfect" everything that I never finish a season. But I'm finding I can play 4-6 games a day with quick counts, so I may as well go back and set everything up right for the long haul.

I just started July in my OSFM Cards franchise. I am using 30 team control and was gonna start looking to make a handful of big trades and smaller trades to fit some team needs. But I've run into a bit of a pickle... Tampa (with Price) and Kansas City (with Shields) are first place in their respective divisions. With both teams (for arguments sake) unlikely to sign their aces in the offseason, do they still trade them despite competing? Both teams have a couple game lead in their division and would otherwise be in the WC.

Also, is it realistic to think that Texas (1st in their division) would trade either Andrus, Profar, or Sarrina (I forgot spelling, but a nice middle infield prospect) to bring in some pitching help? I'd like to send them Lynn and maybe some other pieces depending on that guy they would be willing to give up.

Regarding Texas, are injuries on? If not, I think their pitching is fine with Darvish, Holland, Perez, Harrison & Colby...

Sorry for the late followup, was out of town. Injuries are not on for Texas. Their rotation (in my chise) is currently: Darvish, Scheppers, Lewis, Ross, Holland. The first three are performing well but Ross (4-8, 4.34 ERA) and Holland (4-4, 4.09 ERA) aren't doing super well. Made sense to me that TEX would want to win now, especially given their recent WS appearances and could make a play for another solid SP in exchange for Sardinas who is just riding their big league bench.


A harder decision though, does KC trade Shields or TB trade Price even if they are winning their divisions? I wouldn't trade for them myself, but using 30 team control and I want to offload these guys off the rosters if it is realistic that it happens in that scenario.

Fairness is always a good quality of the game, but I'm going to take the best deal I can get. If you guys would help me with finding a new home for Gattis, Floyd, and Santana that would be greatly appreciated.

Just use force trades and do whatever you want since you are making trades and aren't fair or real. The game is not a good indicator of what's fair. This thread really doesn't service your goals.
