Ill take a look. What team is he on? Id prob do Flowers for him straight up, sight unseen. If I do go into sell mode, where would good destinations be for Dunn, Konerko, and Lindstrom. Ramirez would go to the Mets for Gee in the event I wave the white flag.

Side note, CPU trading is deplorable, if I didn't step in some of the game best prospects would be traded for middling relief pitchers like Randy Choate. Most recent one was Archie Bradley and AJ Pollock for Michael Bourn. What a joke. Didn't they say trade logic was revamped? I can't tell, its worse than ever before.

Since Stanton seems to be a pipe dream at this time. I've decided to pursue Carlos Gomez. I need a CF badly, and a leadoff hitter, and speed, even though he isn't the middle of the order bat I've been looking for, he does have some pop, and would be a nice table setter. Maybe James Paxton, and Nick Franklin? I may also toss in James Jones. Would that be giving up too much on my part?

Are the Brewers out of contention? How is Gomez doing?

The Rockies need pitching and even if Pimentel would help add some depth to the major league pen, an additional piece for their system would be nice.

I like the idea of Stubbs that was suggested. He mashes lefties and can run with the best of them

I pick up what you're putting down, how about moving Cody Dickson? Taylor was the PTBNL in the Ike Davis trade so I'll unfortunately have to unload him to the Mets.

Not even remotely enough for Gomez. Not anywhere close.

Instead of setting your sights on the best players in baseball first, since it's obvious you just want to trade Paxton and Franklin for someone, how about taking Paxton and Franklin's spreadsheet values and just looking for acquisitions that fit within those parameters? Otherwise, it may be frustrating to keep throwing out names you can't really afford for those guys.

I agree, but in the OP's defense Gomez's value is out of whack on the spreadsheet. At High B + Low B, he's far undervalued there.

I'm probably overvaluing my prospects. I might do DJ Peterson, James Paxton, and James Jones. My plan was to sell Smoak for a bag of balls once Peterson was ready for the big club, 1B of the future.

I'm a week away from the trade deadline, and the Brewers are 13 games back, due to the fact that 3/5 of their rotation is on the DL, along with Braun. Gomez him self is hitting .297 with 10 HR's, 46 RBI, and 23 SB

So I simmed to the end of my season... batting averages seemed low, just posting this here cuz you guys are the only ones I really talk to on the forums lol.

The batting title went to Butler who hit .319 in the AL and Lucroy who his .318 in the NL. Silver Sluggers were as follows AL/NL
                          C-McCann .279 18HR 62rbi/Lucroy .318 12HR 64rbi
                          1B- Cabrera .299 35 110/Freeman .304 29 84
                          2B- Kipnis .301 18 87/Gennett .285 8 58
                          3B- Beltre .308 35 105/Zimmeran .295 29 94
                          SS- Reyes .293 18 66/H. Ramirez .306 21 73
                          OF- Trout .319 29 125/McCutchen .317 23 91
                          OF- Bautista .294 38 117/ Braun .286 26 87
                          OF- C Beltran .287 30 94/ Heyward .285 26 90

No one hit over .319... doesn't seem right to me, maybe I shouldn't have gone with hybrid rosters. Kind of discouraged heading into next season.

Yeah, even with MIL being out of contention, Gomez is putting up numbers that would force you to include Taijuan Walker as a starting point. Gomez's value on the spreadsheet was probably mistakenly overlooked from last year to this year, but since Go Go has been a regular at the top of the WAR leaderboard, his value most certainly requires 1 A prospect and more likely 2.

You know, there are some cheap power bats to be had....Josh Willingham, Adam Dunn, and Chris Carter come to mind depending on how their teams are doing. If the Phillies are in trouble, Jimmy Rollins might be a fit for you as well.

As a rough value for Gomez without looking at any stats/contracts, I think maybe Mid A + High B + High B for Gomez seems about right? Either that or 2 Low A's and a High/Mid B. Any thoughts?

I don't really want to trade Paxton, but I will for an impact bat, and Franklin is blocked at SS and 2B. Maybe I'll just try to get someone like Stubbs, Nelson Cruz, Adam Dunn, Ryan Howard, or some other 2nd tier bat.

Sim the season 5 different times and you'll get 5 different results. I've seen players lead the league anywhere from .315 to .348 in batting average with the Hybrid rosters. People don't realize that offensive numbers are in the toilet in real life, at the lowest point since the mound was lowered in 1969 or close to it.
