Well Clark Kent had a pretty bad month during May. Would have a game or two with a few hits and then 2 in a row with no hits. He did manage a couple more Homeruns but the Altoona Curve are pretty far back from the number one Erie Seawolves. The month of June however is starting to turn things around. Clark is currently stting on a 9 game hitting streak with a couple more Homeruns bringing the total to 15 and a batting average of .327.

After walking only 7 times my first 93 games, I have walked 10 times in my last 20 games lol. Finally getting my eye back up at the plate that I worked on last year. Shaking off the rust.

I'm a couple weeks past the All-Star break, still in the Minors (which I don't mind). I'm battling Kris Bryant for the statistical lead in damn near every offensive category, though I lead the league in SB my a fair margin (I'm a LF...For now). All was going smoothly, until a notification popped up: The Rays trade Ben Zobrist to the A's for Addison Russell. Me, being in the Rays minor league system, was a bit alarmed. I was going to re-load a previous save (I have three going that I save over cyclically), but I decided to roll with it. Russell's a fantastic prospect, so why not? I requested a position change from LF to 2B to fill Zobrist's hole, since the only 2B in the Bigs is Forsythe, who is only good against lefties and I'm already a higher overall than him. DeJesus and Joyce can man LF much better together than Forsythe could play 2B alone.

So yeah, requesting the move was the last thing I did. They said they'd grant me the position move, but I haven't played any games since requesting, so we'll see what happens.

If you set your secondary position to "-" does that mean none or all? I'd like my player to be able to fill in for the infield and the outfield, is that possible?

First thing I did was lower the CPU pitcher strike frequency and consistency by 1 notch each. More than that though, it's been just being patient and kinda forcing the issue lol. There were many times, before I adjusted the sliders, where I swung at the 3rd or 4th ball.

I bat left, and I struggle against lefties so I've been making my priority against any lefty first and foremost to try and get a walk. I'll take good pitches to try and get deeper in the count. If I can get to a full count then I've done my job. Sometimes I might not even think about swinging until 2 strikes cross the plate, depending on the game situation and if we have runners in scoring position, if we're behind, etc, in which case I'll be looking for a hit.

Against righties I'm much better, and feel more comfortable hitting when I'm behind in the count. What I'll do is look for a first pitch fastball (with my power swing), to try and crush. If it's not there, I'll take it, even if it's well inside the zone. On 0-1, 1-0 or 1-1 I'm turning power swing off but still looking for something that's very hittable, I'll take anything near the black and probably anything on the outside 1/3rd of the plate. On 2 strikes I protect, but I'll still take some dangerous pitches on or near the black. I figure you've gotta be willing to strike out occasionally.

On 3-1 or 3-0 I take all the way. On 2-0 I might take all the way too depending on the situation. I do watch a lot of meatballs cross the plate on those counts which hurts sometimes lol, but then like half the time they'll walk me on the next pitch.

I'm still in AAA, I can hit these pitchers for the most part. I've been on a tear lately hitting the ball. I know my batting average and slugging percentage will be fine. But I was tired of my OBP being like 3 points higher than my batting average lol. So I've sacrificed what could be some extra base hits on meat pitches in order to get deeper into counts

May is in the books, and Willie Mays Hayes' bat is heating up with the weather:

Average speaks for itself - it spiked up 47 points over the course of the month.

As expected, the power and speed combination has begun to show up too. He now has 6 doubles and 3 triples on the year. The discipline was lacking a bit as his strikeout total is now 25, good for fifth on the Fisher Cats. Also, the manual catch glove let him down a bit toward the end of the month when he committed 3 errors in 2 games, one of which should have been the final out of a game (that the Cats later ended up losing).

Also, this happened on the 30th, the last game that he played in May:

It's exactly for THOSE kinds of moments that I'm playing this RTTS in this way.

We're currently 25-48. After starting above 500. We can't seem to win any games or get a winning streak going.

I'm on the verge of asking for a trade.

However I'm a little concerned that using these points to boost my player will spoil the game for me, at least for part of it. I am driven to play and do well so I can earn the training points, and do it over and over game after game. That's my incentive as I'm sure they nicely designed it.

On one hand, using the stubs for this will be helpful because I don't get a lot of time to game in general. So effectively it could allow me to boost my player today just like I had built him up over a couple of seasons earning training points the hard way. But then again I don't want him to be too good without earning it because that could take some of the fun out of it.

Curious what you guys think and what your experience has been with this. Will spending the stubs ruin the game? Maybe I'll just do 6,000 instead of all 30,000. I know I say that now, but then I'll likely want to keep going back to the well for more points. Since the stubs are free though, its kinda hard to lay off them. What else could I use them for anyway? I see they are good for Franchise mode but I'm new to the series and haven't played that mode yet, so I have no idea how useful they'd be there.

                    Thanks!
I accidentally applied all 30,000 to my 2nd base character and it ruined the him for me so I started other characters. It's now fun in year rating is in the 90's during your first season.

How long does it normally take to get called up to AAA? MLB?

If it takes a season or so for each one, I should probably start simulating occasional games.

I'm absolutely crushing the ball right now. 35 games in, and I'm hitting .453. I'd say 90% of those hits are singles.

I can't hit my way out of a paper bag in other modes, but I'm great at RTTS. It makes no sense.

In RTTS after making it to the majors are real players scattered all over different teams or they are still in their current teams? Rtts seems to be boring when playing with fake players or seeing players in other another team.

So some updates on my guy: My RF for the ChiSox is entering his third season now in the MLB. In my second year I hit .280 with 17 HR, 47 RBI and about 60 Runs (all of which were much better than my rookie season). I have been able to keep my starting spot now and I look forward to finally leaving this train wreck of a baseball team.

I also started a SS. He's Landon Jeter, Derek Jeter's oldest child (fictional), and I used Jeter as a template. I absolutely killed the Showcase this time and was drafted in the 1st round... to the ChiSox. I did not want that to happen at all. Hopefully I can get traded when the option comes up, I don't want to be with the White Sox in two different save files. I would like Landon to either end up in his father's footsteps on the NYY or to go completely against him and play for Boston. After ONE GAME in AA, I was promoted to AAA... What? But since being promoted I have just been playing at 1B which really bothers me but I know I will eventually win back the SS job.

And finally I made a SP named Angel Rodrigues, a fireballer from the DR. I did terrible in my first Showcase game (giving up 6 runs), then game 2 I only surrendered 1 hit and struck out 6, and in game 3 I gave up 2 hits (both HRs) and struck out 6 again. Somehow a team liked me enough to go in round 2 and I was taken by the Pirates and given B potential. First game in AA with the Altoona Curve; 8.1 IP, 15 K, 1 BB, 6 H, 1 ER (although the last two hits and 1 ER were garbage, I should have been yanked after 8 IP, I was completely gassed).

Well just finished my 2nd season in the MLB for the Boston Redsox.

My player ended the season hitting .308/ 26hr/ 87 RBI

Going into the playoffs with the Redsox I had an 17 game hitting streak, I did not have a hit for the whole first series where we swept Detroit finally got my bat going against the Oakland A's where we were up 3-1 in the series only to lose to them 3-4.

I was awarded the Silver slugger for leading the AL with batting average,

I was then rewarded with a 4 year 4.4 Million dollar contract, I decided to take it as it will take me all the way to the 6 year MLB service mark where I would love to sign for the blue jays as my home town team
