It seems like the few of us who are continually seeing this difficulty see-sawing are also using the good old Classic/QC combo (predominantly).

And it also seems to always be with AS+ to HOF (and back).

Not sure what you mean by see-sawing. You mean for example..Bouncing from HOF, back to All Star etc...? I've just noticed mine seems to reset or revert back to what it was when I started the game. It doesn't seem to carry over to the next game all the time, after shutting down the PS4. Like I mentioned before. I am using Timing, and Pulse, with NO QC btw... I play every pitch.

Unless you're talking about your Universal Profile. Then in which case it's just a reflection of points you've accumulated while advancing through the game. It's more of an identifier to other users about how good you are and how often you play. And a way for you to track your own playstyle and progress.

I started on Beginner and it went to 6, so I changed it to Rookie for both hitting and pitching. During the game it now says Level 12 for both hitting and pitching. Seems like even Rookie (not DD) has some sort of adjusting to your level because it is getting harder. So now I'm on Level 12 and does that correlate with Veteran or something besides Rookie? As I said, I started with Level 6 on Rookie and now it's Level 12 for hitting and pitching.

Bingo. That's exactly what I'm saying.

This is strange man. Did you read my last post on how my setup is and the current one + mark loss I've seen? That's nothing like you're describing though. How much progress (or regression) are you losing?

He just means that DD is having trouble locking in and is instead prone to promote you to HOF, 3 games later after getting whipped like you stole something youre getting demoted again. Then 3-4 games later it sees youre doing better and promotes you to HOF yet again, rinse and repeat. I'm holding off judgement on HOF as Greinke was a stud on HOF, Ryu was a turd but Ryu has been a turd all season and walks 4-5 a game, no idea why hes so all over the place for me as he isnt nearly this much of a walks machine in real life. It is what it is, Ill continue marching forward regardless and do my best when HOF comes back rearing its ugly head again.

You're talking about the Level OSD on the top left hand of the screen, right?

Like I said in my last post, this isn't DD or Difficulty Level related. It's just a system that tracks your stats. You can never lose progress here. It's just a leveling up system that you build on while you play.

Online, people will know how good of a player you are by seeing your level (essentially) and tendencies (see below).

Offline it's for you to...I don't know really? Feel good or bad about yourself with? LOL! It's attached to your universal profile. My favorite part isn't actually the level part, but the part where it breaks down your contact percentage on swings and balls chased, etc. This is the tendencies part mentioned above.

Hit the Touch Pad on the PS4. Scroll left where it says Profile and enjoy. I think you'll understand what I'm saying better after you do this.

I don't think it's that. When I started on Beginner it progresses with changes to your level. After it was 1 it went to 6 and then I went to Rookie, and from 6 it's now 12. That level thing should be how you're doing level-wise. For example, you could go to level 6 on Beginner and drop down if you do poorly.

Perhaps there are 6 levels to every level like Beginner, Rookie, etc. and level 12 means I'm at the end of Rookie and ready for next step up?

Heroes is correct. Just for reference, my Level has been 30 from the moment I logged into a Show online mode from the PS4 - it synced up what I had from my month with the PS3 version. It has nothing to do with Dynamic.

DD only informs you of your current level at the beginning of an inning. Every half inning, you should see this on the screen (example):

"Veteran + Progress ++++"

If you're not seeing this, DD is not turned on. If you are, this is the only indication it's there.

I'm making up the numbers but you will never regress a level. The same as you never can in Skyrim or Fallout.

I know it has nothing to do with DD. However, it must have something to do with how well you're doing. Beginner mode is level 1-6, and I suspect Rookie is 6-12. I was 11 until today and went to level 12, just don't know yet if it goes higher. I was wondering how that level correlates to the various difficulty levels, such as Veteran. In other words, I went to 6 on Beginner and I took that to mean I should move up and I did to Rookie. Now it's at 12 and maybe that means I should move up to the next level, but I'm happy on Rookie

Hey, I'm 72 on August 2nd and don't need the added stress. Dynamic Difficulty is a sure-fire way to get a dynamic heart attack!

What points? Look, on Beginner you start out on level 1, and then progress up to level 6, but you can go down in level if warranted. This has nothing to do with points, this has to do with how well you're doing, and it is the level that shows that information.

On each level you need to ascertain a certain amount of points before you advance to the next level. I'm have no clue how many points that is.

After each half inning, in the SAME place you see your current level, you'll see a blue bar fill up with the amount of points you earned that half inning next to it.

I don't believe Universal Profile levels are attached to Difficulty Levels. If they are capped, that's news to me.
