Last I checked, I am hitting .255 and my opponents are hitting .255 (I track my stats on paper).

I was down like 4-1 going in the bottom of the ninth in the seventh game of these nine and beat Seattle.

There isn't anything I could have turned OFF to make it quit saving my progress, is there? I mean, I don't think that is happening but I can't explain the results either.

It would be nice if you could select those difficulty like you can the normal ones like allstar, hof ect. Like if you could select allstar+ or allstar++ ect.

      Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

I'm not actually bothered by the going between levels things. I just wanted to make that clear.

My only issue is how drastically different AS through HOF are with my current set up. I'm hoping in the future, DD advances enough to stabilize the player on OPS and then fine tune the player in H/9, BB/9 and or K/9.

I think I'm just going to roll with this and accept this for what it is. I have to stop looking at the stats from each individual level and embrace the dynamic nature of the game.

I've always wanted a sports game to do what The Show is doing this year. The game will get easier and harder. I think I've just been looking at this all in the wrong way.

Honestly, when I give this some thought, I prefer this over slideritis any day of the week.

        I can understand that.

I just don't like the idea of rolling off 9 straight wins with Houston. I'd feel much better if I'd lost 9 straight.

There is no All-Star++, or any level++.

The difficulty levels are: Rookie, Rookie+, Veteran, Veteran+, All-Star, All-Star+, HOF, HOF+, and Legend.

The "+" means you are half-way between levels. The extra "+'s" and "-'s" are your progress towards the next level, "++" or "---" means you are nearing a promotion or demotion.

Your team OPS (or individual OPS in RTTS) is the primary criteria for promotion/demotion. You only get promoted if your team is winning by 3 runs or more, and a demotion only if you are losing by 3 runs or more (except for relief pitchers starting mid-game).

Promotions/demotions are checked after each AB, and after being promoted or demoted no further changes or progress may happen until the next game.

**This info can be found in the in-game strategy guide under "Other", about half-way down the first page.

            Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

On my RTTS player I just made Hall Of Fame difficulty. What I found though when I played for the month on the PS3 is that I do not want my franchise and RTTS sharing the same DD setting. Franchise just seemed much hard on Hall of Fame batting than RTTS did. I am sure it has something to do with the skill of various hitters but eventually I hope my RTTS player is a superstar with great hitting ratings that can hit on HOF a little easier than Kolten Wong.

If you're rolling with a 4.15 and a .255, what is there to be worried about?

Those are nice lines! Somebody has to win the game!

The .255 is probably high for HOU though, but you'd be mid to top mid pack in BA in real life with that average anyway. It's not like you're hitting .280 and pitching a 2.50!!!

If I were you I'd focus on getting a promotion in hitting. Either by just playing games, or forcing it in exhibition (like using an all-star team against a AA team for example).

Yeah, it doesn't look like your numbers are too far off.

As of right now, Houston has a team BA of .236 and a team ERA of 4.58

My difficulty went from Veteran ++++ to Veteran after I scored 5 runs and pitched 6 perfect innings. Has this happened to anyone else?

That sounds like you went up to Veteran+ difficulty (the sub-level between Vet and All-Star) . Double-check maybe?

I think it's time for me to give up on DD for pitching. Just can't get the same balance/comfort level as batting. Batting levelled out nicely. But the pitching varies so much as you run through your rotation I'm finding. Team ERA is just too low.

Rookie goes higher than Level 12. I found out today I am at Level 13. I think this level 13 means I'm being challenged more, the game adjusting to make it more difficult even though it's not DD.

I just need to figure out how to start losing more games. I don't want to contend with this team.

I'll post my exact stats later this evening, but the ones I posted are pretty close to accurate. Thanks for the input.

What do you mean by you found out you were level 13?

As far as difficulty levels, there is no level 13. Beginner difficulty is broken down into 6 levels (details are in the strategy guide), but afterwards you advance to Rookie, Rookie+, Veteran, Veteran+, AS, AS+, HOF, HOF+, Legend.

So are you calling HOF level 13?

I think he's referring to the XP Levels which don't have anything to do with DD.

I'm on Level 25, it means nothing, as far as I know, offline.
