Doesn't that happen in real life though? Especially in real life when an ump calls a ball for one team and then a strike for the other.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Even in golf they have officials with every golfer. At least at the pro level.

It does but not to the degree of variance that it happens in the show.

I love they idea of variable umpires but do hope they refine it a bit.

IF not though, no big deal to me.

LOL, no. At most there are five rules officials on site and that number is only present for majors.

Golfers police themselves. Rules officials come to a hole if they are called.

Fine leave the umps. No reason they should be calling balls and strikes though when a computer can do it perfectly.

I don't ever want that element in the game. Challenges is just about as far as I want to take it and that is pushing it.

You know, speaking of this... there IS an option where you can have the computer perfectly call balls/strikes/outs if you want.

Yeah i know. I was off topic a bit talking about real life.

I just went to their twitch channel and the next one is this Thursday and it's going to be about Universal Rewards, Licensed Equipment, and Diamond Dynasty distilled.

Any talk of the enhanced pitch break visuals?

Is it easier to hit breaking pitches now?

                              2nd question:
If a throw from the outfield to home is offline will the catcher do the "off balanced three-step stumble" still?

I want to like this post 10 times re: the foul slider. It really does work and doesn't sacrifice foul balls much at all - they absolutely still happen with the slider at 0. It also improves one other nagging problem The Show tends to have - endless at-bats due to all those foul balls. When that slider is lowered, it reduces the chance of a player's PVIS being good enough to still make contact - usually as a foul tip. That means more strikeouts when the one you swing through happens to be strike three.

It's the only way I've played the game for a while now and I love it. (when I play Zone, at least - timing and analog have a way of minimizing foul balls because of the automatic PCI placement). If you're good enough to always get the PCI over the ball you might end up having too many balls put in play, but if you're sometimes inaccurate with it like me you will see more swings and misses.
