Have you ever heard the real Matty V call a game? IRL, he's not boring at all on pbp he just comes across that way in the game. Hopefully, they added in commentary that will liven him up and make him sound more like the real deal.

Exactly, hearing him call a game IRL, and watching him on MLBN's Hot Stove is fun.

Don't know about ? #1, but for ? #2, the hats are just drawn that way. 80 degree humid day, or 50 degree dry day, hats will have sweat, until they re-do them. Sorry.

Will we ever see Sounds of the Show in any future addition of this game in our life time? (next 30-50 years ... no im serious here)

is it even on the table as a discussion piece?

Has it been shelved for the foreseeable future...

do they even want us mentioning it at all?

i truly miss this feature... i miss taking the hrs of loading my songs off of my cd's and then assigning them to each player... i have so much new music i would love to see in my game as part of it...

Originally it wasn't included bc the PS4 couldn't support it. And I think the support came to late in the cycle to include it this year. I do believe they're going to try and include it for 16... It IS a highly requested feature.

I only saw something in the video. I guess it's just more of how the tags are done, but I don't actually know what it is that they do. Like the timing of it or something? They showed an example at home plate in the video, and I didn't really pick up on it.

Just pure speculation reading between the lines in SLAB's post. If anyone was replaced it would probably be EK, I'd think.

But, yeah about that gameplay...looks totally rad, brah!

There's really no lines to read between... both of those posts (Art's and mine) are edited, as to not take the conversation off track. Feel free to speculate all you want, but don't set yourself up for too much disappointment.

Either way, this thread is about gameplay.

Is that for analog pitching?

It's available for any pitching method. I was using Pulse pitching exclusively, but a couple of the guys used meter. I'm not sure how their experience varied, if any.

Could some of you elaborate about the user controlled cutoffs? I heard Ramone say something about R1 appearing on the screen when a cutoff situation is there but can we call off the cutoff man last minute (he lets the ball pass without touching it when the throw is so good it has more change of making the out than when he would interfere) or call him in when needed. Because in 14 if you throw directly to homeplate from far in the outfield he throws such a rainbow there isn't even a possibility for a last minute cutoff man to grab it.

Maybe this has all been taken care off but I just didn't get the whole idea behind the works yet.

If the situation presents itself meaning the cutoff man is in position and the throw can realistically be cut off, a OSD will come up indicating that it is possible to make one if needed. At that point you can press it or let the throw go through. If you commit, you cannot undo it and let the ball go through. So your situational awareness needs to be high on deciding if you can get the runner at home or need to make the cut to get a runner trying to grab the extra base.

Can't really offer a lot of input because it was being worked on while we were there. Basically instead of pre generated generic tags being applied the system will apply different types of tags based on specific situations. Also, it is AI driven not created by user input.

Any talk of the enhanced pitch break visuals?

Is it easier to hit breaking pitches now?

2nd question:
If a throw from the outfield to home is offline will the catcher do the "off balanced three-step stumble" still?

The biggest benefit of the dynamic pitch breaks will be better recognition of breaking pitches. As a whole all the pitches have more individuality especially with varying degrees of effort behind them. For the most part that generic feel of pitch types is gone. It should help people who struggle with breaking balls.

I don't recall the off balance stumble, I was trying to get mileage out of the user controlled cutoffs so I hardly let the ball go through if I had the opportunity to cut.

I asked this in another thread but didn't get a response, so I'll shoot it here.

Theoretically, couldn't you port your Franchise or Season save from '14 to '15 and then export rosters, thus basically carrying over your rosters from 14?
