Has collision detection been improved? It seemed most obvious in the older games on pickoffs to 1st base. Arms going through the runner's body that kind of thing. Did they work on it?

Are you guys going to have your own individual breakdowns of certain parts of the game like in years past, i.e. RttS, Franchise etc? I'm interested in how RttS plays this year.

This may not be completely gameplay, but with the new challenge system for managers, was there any tweaking to the accuracy of the base umpires?

In other words, was there any change to the accuracy of the umpires (maybe 2% increase in missed calls) to more accurately mimic real life?

This was answered a few pages back. They eliminated most situations where this occurred. In the build the CD guys played it still happened from time to time, but nowhere as prevalent as it was in years past.

I think nemesis04 mentioned that he still saw "clipping" earlier on in this thread. So, that would lead me to believe there wasn't a noticeable improvement. Although, SCEA is re-doing the tagging system and mentioned there will be less of what you are asking about.

Don't shoot me for being wrong, but I seem to remember a mention (twitch stream?) that they didn't touch the umpire attributes. The only thing they did was make it so the pitch locations are more accurately rendered on the screen so the ball/strike calls look more legit.

You can't randomly challenge, it is triggered by the AI.

Yes, after each SDS live stream for a particular area of the game, discussions/Q&As will open up for that topic.

This is probably something that is more obvious playing games in a franchise but:

                      1. Are AI bullpen decisions better? Do LHP on LHB matchups happen more?
                      2. Are relievers that are pitching well still forced to go 3, 4+ innings?
                      3. Do tired relievers still come in for one batter appearances (pretty much a franchise thing, I understand)

I still saw some of those types of fouls, hard to quantify if it was actually minimized.

I'm glad to hear this, I was a little worried about how this would be implemented.

They were balancing the frequency when we were there.
