    Re: MLB 16 Ideas!

A lot of people here have been asking for new presentation for the past few years, which has been basically the same for the past few years, but it is all ready a good presentation but could use some refinements. my suggestion would be to add a new level to the presentation which would be called:

    "TRU BROADCAST"

basically have the game mock a television broadcast to a higher degree than what the game already does, by adding more cut scene and camera angles to the game play.

examples: (can be for when user is fielding or batting along with the cpu controlled plays)

ball hit to the SS for a easy ground out, right as the ball is traveling thru the air, have the camera cut to a different angle of the first baseman catching the ball, instead of keeping it the same aerial view.

no doubt stand up double, instead of showing the fielder fielding the ball and throwing it in, have the camera cut to the runner running into second base (since the runner is going to be safe and the rest of the play is dead theres no need to see the cpu finish out the play)

when pitching if you are taking a while to set up your pitch have a quick cut of the pitcher staring into plate before starting the pitching motion. (cut scene would end as soon as the pitching motion is inputted)

fielding a regular fly ball with no one on, cut to a closer view of the fielder catching the ball.

another quick pitching cut scene, cut to a close up of the catcher calling the pitch.

basically just add a lot of quick 1 to 2 second cut scene in the middle of routine plays where there is no input needed or will be needed by the user to better mock the camera angles on plays you would see watching a real game on t.v.

      Just 1 wish:

      1. To have an option where you can assign a certain overall ratings range for incoming draft classes. With many rosters having trouble after the first year with incoming players ratings from draft classes we could have the ability to drop (or raise) the overall range AND how quickly these draft classes progress and develop through the minors. There will always be outliers (The Trouts and Harpers of the world), but overall you could have an incoming draft class between 40-50 overall rating with a fast progression to the majors. Or even have classes come in at 60-70 and slowly develop. All settings we could control either at the start of the franchise or throughout the season.

Probably a nightmare to program, but that's my one wish for all these great rosters that come out and then after the first few seasons they become difficult to play with because draft classes ruin them.

        After thinking about it:

        1) Uniform Vault - I would really like more slots, but if we can't have that it would be neat to have a uniform vault. That way we could create uniforms and upload them to the teams that we are using. The Diamond Dynasty uniform creator is a good start, but it would be nice to add sleeve patches and the like.

        2) More Stat Tracking - This should be pretty much self explanatory, but there needs to be much more in the stat tracking department for Road to the Show and Franchise. It would also be nice if this could come with a better history ( I like to track who has won what and what team won it all as I go through a season or franchise ).

        3) Working Roofs - Again, pretty self explanatory, but the option to start the game with the roof open or closed would be great, even at the expense of not having as many new minor league stadia. It doesn't have to "work" in game, but just having the option would be great.
        Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

          1. Year by year stats on player cards, going through entire career.

          2. New commentators.

          3. Expanded radio show with visual highlights, and an end of year special for awards.

          Great game guys!

1 - Season mode for minor league teams
            2 - More throwback/retro uniforms
3 - Create a team or ability to use Diamond Dynasty team in a season

As for uniforms, I understand if there's a max amount of jersey slots available per team. What about creating a uniform bank where another x amount of jerseys for each team was available for purchase using stubs. By purchasing a vintage jersey for a team, you'd have to replace a current jersey from the SCEA stock with the newly purchased one

Hope I'm not too late here!

                  1. More specific trade block parameters. Simply having positions is way too basic.

It should be expanded to include handedness, so for example if a team was looking for a LH reliever or a LH bat, those parameters could be added to the "Seeking" section for both the user and the AI.

It should also be expanded to include prospects and veterans, so if a team was looking to swap a veteran for prospects or vice versa, there would then be an indicator of that. This could be woven into whether or not a team was in the race or out of the race.

                  2. More in depth trade interaction and discussion.

This could probably still be kept relatively simple, but expanded to include things like counter offers. So for example you offer up a trade, if the AI doesn't like the trade, have there be a counter offer where the AI uses already existing trade block elements (players on the block, as well as the expanded parameters mentioned above) to propose a different trade.

If after maybe a few back and forth proposals nothing gets done you could have it so trade talks have broken down, and you then have to wait until the next day to start talks with that team again. This would add a bit of intensity when trying to get a deal done before the deadline.

                  3. Merge all the GM info into one section.

Things like player search and the trade block should be in the same section.

In fact I really think the game would benefit greatly with an emphasis on the General Management aspect of baseball. Right now it lacks that focus, and suffers because of it.

More of a pipe dream but can we also get Stat modifiers like OOTP? Something similar to this?

User controlled pitchers crouch when the catcher is throwing to 2nd on a steal attempt (RTTS).

It's just kills the immersion when a catcher comes up firing, and the pitcher stands there like o_O.

                        1) the trades as in the real life, with chance of 'cash consideration' and/or draft pick

                        2) the return of the Sound of Show

                        3) more throwback retro jersey

1-In season contracts. The abilitu to extend guys would be great. This also should apply to coaches/managers as well. If come July, my team is doing horrible, I should be able to fire my manager and hire a new one.

2-Importing players into franchise. Being mid season in my 'chise, then getting a roster update with a prospect with better raitings, or a vet with accurate service time can be frustrating(not having the new models in my chise that is). Hopefully, all stats accumulated in my chise would remain.

3-Rain outs/delays. This is a feature I really miss frpm MVP Baseball. I loved playong double headers. I would be cool to be able to have the "26th man" along with this.

Mines are all with regards to Franchise Mode

                            1) Better stats like WAR and career stolen bases

                            2) Trade logic dependent on league and team needs. A power hitting 1B who has terrible defense, should be sought out by an AL team moreso than another NL team. Especially if he has a long contract.

                            3) Hall of Fame logic. Ichiro going into the HoF as a Marlin, Really?

I want to see endorsements make their way into RTTS. For example have companies offer you stubs or training points for wearing their gear.

Contracts should be worth something. I mean if you earn a huge contract that should come with bonuses. For example attribute boosts or just have the contracts you get be worth something. For example if you earn a four year 10 million contract that should equal 1,000 training points or stubs .

Off the Top of my head

                                1. Better trade logic where a team's key players are not traded away like they were rookies. In my RTTS the Cardinals traded both Wainwright and Molina in 2015. I could understand that if they were in the last years of their contracts but they are not. Both have multiple years left and are the franchise players for the Cardinals right now.

                                2. Double Shadows - I used to think they were just a night game think with the lights but I am pretty sure I noticed them in a day game yesterday. They look awful.

                                3. Bunt for hit attempts in road to the show. Play a first baseman and you will see a ridiculous amount of bunt for hit attempts sometime by the most unlikely players in the weirdest situations.
