For a mode that people don't play there sure seems to be a lot of interest..

this mode doesn't make money like Diamond Dynasty.... so it drops way down the priority list. They make diamond Dynasty their biggest focal point because it makes them the most money.. this why the developers themselves will state that the biggest improvement from the SHOW 16 to 17.. is diamond dynasty even

that's the real reason.. and that is most likely always going to be the case going forward. you have to remember this is a money making business no matter how genuine the devs appear to be.. and they do seem like a great dev team... and for having no competition at least they improve their sports game a lot year to year.. but they're always going to be about making that money first and foremost

it's just like FIFA with FUT........ and their Pro Clubs mode.. the community complained about them for like 4 years straight or so NOT doing any upgrades to PRO clubs but just touching FUT every year.. finally they at least did some upgrades to pro clubs.. The devs here will probably finally update something with Online Franchise in the next few years I would imagine

why would the developers spend so much time and resources on modes that doesn't make them money?

it's just the way it is...

I'm personally looking forward in getting into Diamond Dynasty this year for the first time..

Every mode uses stubs for something from DD to Franchise and RTTS, so having those be purchasable (which I'm pretty sure they are) in turn makes them very very valuable, so if we had an incentive to buy the stubs to use towards OF for say sponsor cards or to get packs to open sponsor cards would then drive a few of the OF players to spend some money within the game, not much but any $$ spent is profit, and this could have avid OF players purchasing bigger and better editions if they were given more packs in turn that could be used towards OF.

The problem with this in online Franchise compared to offline Franchise is that it will give player with a bigger wallet an advantage over other players in the league.

When playing by yourself it is no dig deal that you purchase a sponsorship or increased budget. You only cheat yourself(no saying it's cheating, just making a point). But in an online league you can basically buy championships that way.

They might as well come up with a new mode like a online community. Creator sets sliders, sends out password for like minded players to join and play online games.

They should've said as much during the franchise stream last week instead of stringing it out with the "separate mode" comment that they made. Seems unnecessarily shifty to wait this long to finally acknowledge that.
