Unfortuantly we still can't resign/extend players in the middle of a season. You still have have to wait till the offseason like normal. Hopefully contract extensions will make it in next year.Comment

I remember a couple years ago you could change their contract in the edit player screen so you could make your own extension .Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Would a package based around Christian Yelich and honestly anyone not named Fernandez, Gordon or Stanton be able to get me Manny Machado in my Marlins franchise? Ideally I'd like to send Ozuna instead of Yelich but I figure Yelich to be the more valuable of the two. Hecheverria just isn't my cup of tea so I'd be more than willing to send him the other way to open up SS for Machado.
I was thinking something like:
Marlins send:
Christian Yelich
Adam Conley (Or insert worthy prospect)
Adeiny Hecheverria
Orioles send:
Manny Machado
C-level prospect
Obviously it's not likely in the slightest that Machado would be traded so I guess I'm looking for fairness over realism though if I see that the Orioles are contending when I fire up the save I won't do the trade. What'd you have in mind? Really anyone is available besides Fernandez (Planning to lock him up for Strasberg money in the offseason), Gordon (Salivating at the prospect of Machado and him as my middle infield), and Stanton (Big long term contract that no one will ever eat money on). I figure Yelich, Ozuna, and Bour to be the most valuable guys left of the bunch but seeing any of them leave wouldn't make me cry exactly lmao.Granted that realism is completely out the window as you've stated, I don't think you can even give them fair value. Machado is even more valuable than Fernandez, even more valuable than Stanton even if Stanton were making minimum wage. I don't see this working out for even Fernandez + Yelich + entire farm system.
EDIT: Just an FYI that Machado is conservatively on pace for a 7.5 WAR season. He's 23. The best position player that you never really hear about because his last name isn't Harper or Trout.
Do you have any idea what the indians would have to give up for GrayNewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
OF Clint Frazier or OF Bradley Zimmer
P Justus Sheffield
1B Bobby Bradley
P Trevor Bauer
Gives them a Major league ready arm in Bauer, and 3 good prospects. Might be a little much, but I'm just throwing something out there.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah i understand, I traded him back and swapped him for Brian Johnson in the trade. He is my fourth OF currently, I am thinking about moving him for a SP though someone like Gray or Teheran.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah both have great qualities and high upside, about them but are still waiting to pan out completely. However, after signing International Free Agent SP Shohei Otani along with Anderson Espinoza, our pitching depth in the minors is pretty loaded.Comment

This year yes but I think over time Gray will out perform Bauer....

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
There's so many pages here, and I could have sworn there was a way of searching the thread for specifics, but I can't find it for the life of me. Oh well. So I guess I'll just have to ask
Playing a franchise as the Yankees, and we are not playing well. Nearing the All-Star Break/Trade Deadline, and we are 12 games back in the division, fourth in the division, and 8 games back in the wild card race. In other words, I'm considering this season a write-off, nd looking to sell off some of the veteran players.
The only ones for sure I'm looking to trade are Sabathia, Texiara, and Beltran. Now I know because of their contracts it's almost impossible, but I'm basically just looking to get anything since I have no desire to re-sign them at the end of the season. What are some possible destinations and packages I could get for those three?
If it's any help for a semblance of realism/fairness, here are their stat lines:
Sabathia: 4-2 3.24 ERA 1.27 WHIP 5.4 K/9 (mostly out of the bullpen with a couple spot starts)
Texiara: .272/.469/.610 13 HR 47 RBI
Beltran: .303/.512/.647 10 HR 42 RBI
And if there's any possible trades (which I highly doubt) for McCann, Ellsbury, or Gardner, give me some ideas. I'm basically up for trading any and all veterans to start a rebuild/retool for the coming seasons, though I'm not expecting much.Pistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
In my Marlins franchise I'm 7 games over .500, like 9 games behind the Mets and Nat's in the division but 2.5 out of the wild card. The Yankees are 4 games under .500 at the all star break in 4th place in the division only over the Orioles. I'm looking for a top level left hander since Dunn and the other LHP's in my pen are pretty bad- so if this scenario were to happen this season irl, would the Yankees and Orliles decide to deal Miller, Britton or Chapman for anyone that the Marlins could offer?
If the Marlins couldn't offer anything worthy of those names would they be able to strike a deal for Shreve from NYY? (74 ovr C pot 1.90 era)Comment
