Noticed this as well, nice touch.

On a side note: playing against the Cubs is stressful as hell, did a big fist punch when I noticed Bryant was being rested in one game of the series.

The new fielding animations / outfielders routes to the ball are really neat. Just saw Domingo Santana take a first step in (a baseball NONO) and then have to turn around as the ball was way over his head!

Not sure if this is new, but I see now that 1st and 3rd base coaches field foul balls like the ball boys do

Playing an away series against the angels right now as the jays. Evening game, but first pitch is at sunset, right during the magic hour. The reflections off the helmets, bats, and lettering on the uniforms is this soft fire orange. Then, as the sun sets the reflections fade with it, slowly turning into the harsher white from the lights of the stadium.

Could have wrote a poem about it.

I think that has been there but that's my crappy memory talking!

It's like you did , seriously I may have to purchase another PS4, my son & I are splitting time. This game has gotten better in so many subtle ways.

I really love the new camera angles for presentation.

                    This game is simply amazing.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I love watching the animations when I stop playing the game for a few minutes to grab a quick bite to eat, esp. the one where the plate ump, the catcher & the hitter are standing around talking, then the ump takes the batters bat, step to the plate for a cut & then does a bat flip. The hitter does NOT like this. You can see him jawing something to the ump, then wipes his bat off.

Could you imagine what this would be like if this happened IRL? Cool little animation in the game though.

I always loved the old High Heat Sports that would cut to a screen saying "___ has charged the mound and is suspended for ____ games"

I doubt the more modern MLBPA wouldn't let that happen, but definitely would love to at least see an emptying dugouts clip integrated.

It's been in for a few years at least, but it happens rare enough that it's still awesome. The no-look backhand from pitchers on comebackers. I've seen 3 total in 7 seasons over three years (TS '14-'16)

Commentary on Carlos Santana of the Indians. He's 0-3 coming to the plate and Matty V. comments: "And coming up to bat is Carlos Santana who needs to change his evil ways...". "Evil ways" being a song by the musician Carlos Santana.
