Because it's comforting. Although I don't attend much A's games, it's comforting seeing the stadium, passionate fans, hearing the crowd, the drums, and all its glory.

O.Co is actually my favorite stadium in the game. I love looking into the green bleachers and outfield upper decks, those unique foul poles, the bullpen out in the open, the massive real estate surrounding the diamond. MLB the Show captures the stadium essence nicely, however, the seating area behind homeplate is still not replicated correctly.

    Seriously, not kidding.

Something new I noticed. Now the pitchers will let the infielders field a pop up in front of the mound. In the past the pitcher would field those. Realism right there

Started my Cubs franchise off 2-1 and then got no hit by Rubio De LeRosa and the Diamondbacks.... I'm still in shock I just got no hit... like what....but it was still pretty cool.

Hit a bomb with Bautista during a sold out home opener for the Jays, and the crowd was so loud you could barely hear the foghorn.

          Amazing.

Love all the new commentary that is geared towards what has happened in your franchise games and a players history.

I hope with the new tracking of previous teams....we(if not this year...in future iterations) get some commentary on a player coming from a different team. Especially if it's a rival like L.A.-S.F.

Again with '65 set.....I played vs. the Yanks and Karros talked about Mantle working his way to 500 homeruns in his career.
Makes me happy that I took the (WAY TOO much extra) time to simulate forever and get historical stats in!!

stole second with Dee Gordon and he lost his lid on his head first slide. Can't recall seeing that one before and thought it was really cool

MLB 16 the Show: The Little Things Thread

Haven't seen this mentioned and first time I've seen it.

Playing an exhibition game last night Braves vs. Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Was a pitcher's duel going into the bottom of the 8th tied 1-1. Corey Seager comes up and hits a go ahead hr over the left center wall. As he rounds the bases he gets to the dugout and the camera view is at the bottom of the dugout steps. He is getting high fives and dap from all his teammates as he steps down into the dugout.

                Cool new presentation!

Again, not much of a little thing but the PBR on the rocky backstop behind home plate at PNC Park is heavenly

Re: MLB 16 the Show: The Little Things Thread

I wanted to share my favorite moment of MLB 16 so far, because I was delighted when it happened.

It went like this: I'm playing my opening day game between Minnesota and Baltimore. The first 4 innings are a slugfest - 4 homeruns and my Twins are up 4-3. There has been a base runner every half inning. When I'm up to bat in the 5th I notice that the shadow from the lights has fallen across the mound, putting it in shadow and making hitting difficult. I go down in order in the 5th and 6th, striking out 4 times. Maybe it was only coincidence, but the CPU went down in order too, also striking out four times. In the 7th, the shadows had moved enough to put the mound back in sunlight and the hitting resumes - one of my runners gets thrown out at home (thanks Adam Jones), but the CPU scores with 3 hits in their half inning to tie the game 4-4. In the 8th and 9th, the shadows are back across the mound - and we struggle at the plate again. I wind up winning on a sacrifice fly in the 13th.

The lighting in this game is much improved, and this was the first time where I can remember it having this kind of impact on the outcome of a game. The shadows are more complex and detailed this year. I'm going to have to start paying attention to the start times of games.

How can you hear chants or crowd yells, even when i use my headphones i can't hear any, unlike in 15 which they were easy to hear.

May have missed it being mentioned but have seen a few times the 3rd base will push the ball foul instead of fielding it and trying for the out at 1st.

Also wish they hadn't removed the presentation scene that shows the batter after they hit a double or triple with there season total, just get a boring little osd now near the score bug. need more presentation scene's added not taken out.

This was pretty cool - during the defensive alignment introduction in a game vs. Arizona, Karros was mentioning how their manager doesn't utilize shifts like some of the others do. And, sure enough, Anthony Rizzo was the next batter and they played him straight up (He gets an overshift from a lot of teams).

And then it didn't matter because he deposited one in the left field seats.

I love how the wind has a big effect on the ball this year. Brandon Moss crushed one down the right field line into 15mph wind and you could see during ball flight it get knocked down by the wind and caught at the warning track.

This may be silly, but I'm noticing more foul-tips into the catcher's mitt this year. Especially satisfying when you are pitching and it is strike 3 and you see the catcher hold up his glove to show the umpire he held onto it, and Matty V acknowledges the foul tip. I know this was in previous games, but I'm noticing it more this year.

I thought I was the only one noticing it happening more often this year.

Loving how the camera pans out and follows the flight of the ball on no doubt hrs. Such a great feeling seeing those moonshots arc into the stands!

I play with broadcast view for in-play offense cam. Not sure if it is broadcast cam specific as I haven't noticed it when playing with dynamic view or medium.

For those that didn't care for the HR cam of old, I haven't seen that cam on any of my hrs on broadcast view so far. Love the look of the presentation on monster blast this year.

This game took a very understated leap in presentation and animation aspects this year IMO. The more I play it, I'm more amazed at the improvements.
