We have uniform reviews every year, we must follow the style guide or we will be asked to change it. What a team wears in real life doesn't come into play here the style guide is law.

just seems very difficult for us consumers to help when the style guide is the law. i guess we could only really help by pointing out glitches in the uniforms? like under shirts appearing through the jersey as a example?

like i just dont really understand how the community could really help in this case. or is there something im missing? heck the style guide probably has color patterns that the dev team use so us pointing out that they are the wrong shade of color in the game even worth mentioning? i guess if the dev team ask the mlb if they could change it if it is not updated in the style guide.

Russell, could you possibly tell us how that works in terms of style guide rules? say one of the community members mentions something and you guys look in the style guide but it is not there or the style guide has not been updated for said item, do you guys then contact MLB and ask them about it? or how does that all work?

Marlins alternate orange jersey is paired with a helmet that for some reason has the colors of the stylized fish on the m incorrect. The top half of the fish is blue and the bottom is orange. It should be the opposite of that. The helmets with all their other jerseys are correct so not sure why this is wrong.

Does anyone know if the throwback jerseys are in the style guide too? I have issues with some of them but I'm wondering if there's even any point in bringing them up if the style guide is gonna limit what they can do anyways.

Throwbacks are not, I believe. But they only have the rights to certain ones.

I'm sure this has been brought up before as well, but the Blue Jays jersey has bothered me. The blue jay logo needs to be more to the right. The feathers on the head need to be more aligned with the end of the S, not between the Y and the S. (Same on road jerseys with the O, not between the T and O)

It's on some, but not all, but the logo on hats it too big. The METS are an example.

This might not be the exact correct place to post this but I definitely wanted to post it so we could get some attention on this issue.
Team colors in the player editor are limited and often incorrect. Colors that should be added include:

• Blue Jays color 2 should be red

• Brewers color 3 should be yellow

• Cardinals color 2 should be navy blue

• Dodgers color 2 should be red

Also, a few other colors could be flipped so they're consistent they include:

• Orioles color 1 should be black, color 2 should be orange

• Pirates color 1 should be black, color 2 should be yellow

• Giants color 1 should be black, color 2 should be orange

^These are based off the Miami Marlins color 1 being black and color 2 orange.

actually when it comes to the dodgers and blue jays the use red very rarely and realy only in the logos, the dodgers have never had any red accessories and the blue jays only use them with the Canada day Jersey that aren't in the game. so what the show uses now is correct.

While we're on the topic of team colors, I was wondering if it was possible to have one of the slots, say team color 3, be white at home and grey on the road.

In these images Manny's gloves and arm band are white at home and grey on the road and it seems like most teams do this with their accessories.

Oh yes the white/gray on home or road is a little thing that would go a long way in improving the visual intricacies of the uniforms. There are countless players who use the same or similar equipment at home and road but the white and gray changes. I'd imagine it'd be as simple as having an extra color option after Team Color 1-3 that is called Home/Road and that it is white when the player is in their home uniforms and gray in their road ones. Of note I don't think it should be automatic that white or gray switch based on home or road so they should keep white and gray as consistent options and the home/road switching option should be separate. Also I wouldn't suggest team color 3 being this slot because there are a few teams who do benefit from having 3 team colors and losing this would hurt them. Hope this helps....

Problems and Issues with Throwback Uniforms

Hey there. I was going to put this in the current uniforms problems and issues thread but that one clearly says current uniforms and to be honest I don't know if this thread will be of use to SCEA because I don't know what determines, decides, or otherwise governs how the throwback uniforms are created. With that said there are several errors with the existing throwback uniforms and I thought it wouldn't hurt to have a single thread compiling these issues so that if it does help SCEA they have it all neat in one place. I will start with the Marlins as they are my die hard team but I would love if others can add to this thread with other teams. Enjoy, and hope this helps...

Miami Marlins Home Throwback 1997
-Pinstripes should be teal, not black
-Helmets should be black, not teal. Teal helmets were only used 93-95, by 96/97 black helmets were used at home... pic shown below is of Moises Alou who was only in Florida for the 97 season

This 1997 pic of Jim Leyland shows the teal pinstripes quite well...

Miami Marlins Road Throwback 1997
-Caps should be black, not teal. There were no teal caps of any kind used by the team in 1997
-Helmets should be black not teal. Teal helmets have never been used on the road in any year even when teal road caps were used it was always a black helmet on the road... pic below is of 1997 world series in Cleveland

Miami Marlins Home Throwback Old 1993
-Undershirt should be teal just like the sleeves as this is a vest jersey... pic below is of Walt Weiss who only played in Florida in 1993

-Helmets should be black not teal
-Caps should be teal with a black brim. The game is using a black cap for this jersey and the team did occasionally use the black cap on the road as an alternate but the primary road cap for the 1993 season is the teal cap with a black brim


-Extra notes, not as important but if I'm giving this much information I didn't wanna leave these things out...
The centering of the cap logo for 1997 was different than of 1993. 1997 has the F centered on the front of the cap and 1993 has it off centered to the players right side. The game has the off centered caps for all 4 throwback caps, the 1993 ones should be off centered and the 1997 ones should be centered... This is the off centered 1993 cap.

Piping/stripes on all throwback road jerseys should be thicker than what's in the game...

Lastly the teal color used in the game is too dark it should be more like the cyan color in the uniform editor...

Has anyone in this thread brought up the strange greenish olive color of the Padres home alternate uniforms? They have the brown color correct in the Padres throwback uniforms, please just use the same shade of brown for the home alternates. The olive green color makes those jerseys unusable in the game and I'd imagine it's not difficult to fix. Here's a quick pic I took with the home alternate jersey paired with the home throwback cap to clearly show the difference between the two colors when they should be virtually identical...

I would actually go as far to say that there should be a separate slot just for this. There are a TON of players who have white wristbands or batting gloves at home and then wear the exact same style with gray instead on the road.
