Carried over my Padres franchise from MLB16. Can someone direct me to a list (if it exists) of what players are out of the game or replaced, and perhaps what their fictional replacement names are? For example, I have Greg Holland & he had a new name, look, and number.

Miami. Replaced scouts/coaches with top tier and will be scouting pitchers only. I like the lineup the way it is and with a few top pitchers they have a shot.

I would normally never do this, but might have to this year for the sole reason that Matt Holliday's headshot has him with a big fat beard which will bother me all year, while his scanned face doesn't. Although I hate those goofy smiles that the in game faces do sometimes in the headshots

I tried to get into this, but I couldn't. The way they draft closers is moronic. That, and the CPU won't touch Andrew Miller because he's a "RP" and not a closer. I didn't get far enough to compare, but I remember being able to take Miller in the 8th or so last season, while Jansen is a top-5 pick this year and Davis, Chapman, and another closer or two go in the first round.

I'm contemplating switching the position of every closer to RP, in the hopes it balances the draft out, but I wish they would put some effort into Franchise. Coming over from play 2K years ago, this part of the game feels like a big step backwards. Franchise AI is terrible.

3-3 so far on 17 with my Cubs carry over save but something like 25-12 overall. Playing on All Star Hitting and HoF Pitching. Pitching doesn't seem bad most of the time but I'm struggling to hit the ball. Most of the run production comes from HR's by Rizzon and Rendon.

Played 2 seasons on 15 and bought 16 late due to the carry over bug last year. Played some through out the winter. 17 seems much more difficult than 16. I think we were going to cruise to a World Series ring if I stuck with 16.

I love the game, but I don't understand why the Franchise trade system is so ridiculous. It's not even remotely realistic. Why should I be able to check any trade possibility against the opposing team without penalty?

The logic behind a realistic trade system could've been programmed 20 years ago. All you have to do is make it like a mini game where you try to sell the other GM and avoid getting ripped off. Instead of adding three players max to your side and seeing which players they'll give you, make it more uncertain. Make it so you submit your offer, and then maybe a few days later the GM will give you an idea of where he stands. Maybe he really likes the offer but just can't agree right now. Or maybe he does agree and then calls back 5 minutes later and says he wants a physical on player A. Or maybe a certain player threatened to retire if traded to your team. It's so easy to do.

The rest of the game is amazing, and I just don't understand why this aspect is as silly and unrealistic as it's ever been in any game that didn't simply offer manual trading. It's 2017, come on.

Just finished an MLB Network game and didn't get a Showtrack replay once. There were a couple of plays that were worthy but I was curious if this has happened to anyone else? Is it normal? That's only the second MLB Network game I've played so far and I had one on a homer in the first game.

2-2 with my Giants and OSFM rosters right now. love the quick manage option. I am doing that with every minor league game. I have to manage my AAA carefully cuz i am rocking a 3 man bullpen and a 8 man pen in the MLB haha.

Cubbies pound the Rockies 10-2 today. Felt good after losing the first two games on the series. It's a four game series so we have a chance to even it up.

Rules 5 catcher Herb Fuentes went yard for the 5th time this year. He has officially replace Wellington Castillo who is hitting well below the Mendoza line.

Rockies 18-20 vs Cubs 26-12 tomorrow.

Realized I was popping out too much lately so I moved the PCI up last game and it paid off. Still only had 10 hits though but all that matters is the run column.

Carryover A's franchise from '16. Thought I'd be smart and wait to start my offseason until the new game, well that move cost me a couple of my best older players in an effort to not lose my top prospects, and just to sign a coach and 3rd base coach due to the new budget feature. Guess those young guys are coming up sooner rather than later.

Are the Yankees programmed into the game to lose in 2017?

After running half a dozen 2017 sim tests, I can't get the Yankees to finish above .500. I even gave the starting 9 and the 5 man rotation a generous ratings boost. Almost everyone extremely underperforms what their ratings are, and the regression of Matt Holliday is absolutely ridiculous and unrealistic. No matter how high I put his ratings, they all end up in the 50s by the end of the season.
Also injuries are off! Crazy but will keep trying!

You should not need a team full of 90s and 80s players in order to field a winner! Could it be fixed?

I started a season with the Rockies and 9 games in I'm 7-2. I'm on dynamic difficulty and up to HOF pitching and hitting and I league the leauge in home runs and I'm second in ERA with a 1.72. It just doesn't feel like that's realistic at all? John Gray, Tyler Anderson and the bullpen are all lights out. And I can't hit with Nolan Arenado at all has a .190 avg with 2 HR

It took awhile to get the bats going but we jumped out to a 5-0 lead late. Almost blew the game in the 9th. Cubs move to 27-13.

I may do a Franchise this year since I haven't done one in a few years. But I would love to run with a fictional roster set if those are a thing. Or i could use OSFM. Going to use my O's either way haha! So if anyone knows of any fictional rosters for The Show let me know

I do the same with my ten year old. The dynamic difficulty is the same for both players, I just put him on veteran and auto base running when he plays with me
