But anyway, I hate to be that guy. If someone would post that in the NBA2k area I would argue too that you just have to play better. I will use the Batter Analysis going forward, maybe it will help my game.

Because don't get me wrong, I really enjoy this game. After I had the classic problem that I couldn't find a team for franchise mode I finally made up my mind. After a few games with the Pirates I had the feeling that they not really a team for me. I really can't explain it either, it just didn't *click*.

So I researched again and somehow I fell in love with the Mariners immediately. Never won anything. Good looking uniforms. Okay park. And Leonys Martín, whom I loved playing on the Rangers. Now, with OSFM released, I restarted today and now I'm 3 games in with 1-2 against the Astros: Game 1 was an 8-10 with 4 runs in the 9th for the Astros. I really struggled with Hernandez, who had 7H and 5R in 4 Innings. After that it was really fun, until the weird 9th.

2nd was a 4-7 with the first runs coming in at the 4th inning with 4 for the Astros. Then 3 in the 8th. So I was kind of happy not losing in the 9th at least one time now.

So, sorry for complaint. I guess I just have to figure out the game again.
The devs have stated there is no comeback AI in the game.

I use the Batter Analysis to ensure that I'm not pitching a pattern to a hitter and I use it also to see what has been effective.

If I had to guess I would say that you're pitching a pattern that the CPU is picking up on and/or you stop "pitching" and start throwing meaning you are trying to get game/inning over with as quickly as possible and therefore are making bad pitches.

And sometimes things just don't go your way and you lose a game in the final innings.

I want to start a franchise so bad, but I normally wait for the first patch to get rid of stuff I can't cope with, mainly the CPU pulls pitchers early. I just can't enjoy a franchise with that glaring problem.

How do situational mode work? I remember seeing some videos on it. Does the game decide for you? also does this work in season mode or just franchise?

You can do what I'm doing, I'm running with the Braves as they are not horrible, have the top rated farm system according to most people that rare farm systems, a decent blend of youth and vets and not to mention a beautiful new ballpark.

My question is if I use dynamic difficulty, can that be done for 2 people playing the same franchise where one person may be at All Star level and the other in Veteran? Can I even play 2 people on one ps4 in one franchise? I know I can control all teams, but wondering if there can be 2 separate profiles in one franchise?
Create a separate profile and set settings up how u want them to be. Then assign the team your son is playing with to that profile.

Am I nuts for seriously considering starting a Rangers franchise, simming 17 season - Trade Darvish, Hammels, Gomez and Lucroy at trade deadline and starting with 18 season?

Re: MLB The Show 17 Franchise Discussion Thread

Nine hours of playing and simming Spring Training games and adjusting New York, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and Trenton rosters, lineups, and rotations later, I'm finally ready to start my Yankees franchise. After I get some sleep.

The Yankees farm system is forking stacked. I mean, just look at this list and then go get a towel to wipe the drool from the floor. This is wonderful and troubling, as it compels me to ensure that every single aspect of everything on all three teams are perfect. I had to play quite a bit of Spring Training to decide where to put everybody. My #1 priority is making sure that every major prospect is getting quality reps. Jordan Montgomery is probably good enough to take the fifth spot in the rotation right now (in the game and in real life), but I'd rather have him dominate in Moosic than struggle in the Bronx. Better to wait and make sure they're ready, especially since the Yankees aren't winning anything this year.

I've put more effort into this than I did into my college applications this year

I started up my Yankee franchise now that OSFM is out!

Exciting stuff. This farm system <3333

First year I've decided I'm only going to play one game a series, as I'd like to progress into the future quickly with this team and see how the prospects all play out.

So far, I'm 5-1 to start the season. Last game I played was a huge 10-1 victory over the Orioles at Camden Yards. (Pitched with Severino that game ... good lord he's fun. I have a really strong feel for his throwing motion + pitches).

Thinking that at the end of this year I'll probably let Sabathia go, keep Pineda, and then look to sign 1 or 2 pitchers, depending.

The system is great but guys like Kaprielian and Sheffield are probably 2-3 years away, so pitching wise I'll prob look outside the org.

Prospect I think will have the best chance of making it up first is Clint Frazier. I'll be hoping he takes over eventually for Gardner, or even sooner for Ellsbury.

I wish Mateo or Gleyber Torres had 3B as an alt position, as I'd love to bring those two up with Didi into an infield with Greg Bird, but not sure its gonna happen.

Anyway, we'll see how things go!

You can edit the players, remember. Go to Manage Rosters and select the player, there's an option to edit. I use it when I know somebody doesn't have a position listed that they actually play in real life. I'm adding 3B for Torres because he's going to get reps there in Trenton. I don't envision Mateo playing third any time soon, though; they're gonna keep him up the middle in hopes that he can pair with Gregorius, Castro, or Gleyber there down the line.

set all the 40s on the OSFM and started my Giants season. simmed to today and had them have the same 1-5 record. Gonna give Parker about a week, tops, then DFA him. the Giants have a lot of OF depth that are basically 4th OF/AAA type players so I'll probably bring one up at a time for about a week each and DFA them as i go and hope one or 2 gets hot. Create Single-A specs that didnt make it into the game and ultimately set Melvin Upton at LF til the trade deadline and see where im at. I do have a diamond SB sponsorship as my only offensive sponsorship so i will probably tailor this team around base stealers by 2018 season. With Span and Pence coming up to the end of contracts i can really get burners in the OF

Start of Regular Season - 2017

                            2016 Recap
                            Spoiler

There are many questions going into opening day. Can the team stay healthy after an injury plagued 2016? How will the bullpen perform? Wade Davis is gone after an off season trade to the Cubs. Kelvin Herrera is now the closer. Joakim Soria looks to bounce back after a the worst season of his career. 25 year old Matt Strahm looks to pick up where he left off after posting a 1.23 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 22 IP near the end of last year. Mike Minor is finally healthy and ready to go after not pitching in a major league game since September 2014.

Can the offense get back to their 2015 performance? The offense is mostly the same. Returning starters are Salvador Perez, Eric Hosmer, Raul Mondesi, Alcides Escobar, Mike Moustakas Alex Gordon and Lorenzo Cain. Paulo Orlando will start in RF while newly acquired Jorge Soler recovers from an oblique injury. Brandon Moss takes over the DH role with Kendrys Morales now in Toronto.

Will Danny Duffy and Ian Kennedy improve on their strong 2016 seasons. Can Jason Hammel help replace the loss of Yordano Ventura. How will Jason Vargas perform after making just 3 starts in 2016 after recovering form Tommy John surgery. And Can Nathan Karns get back to his 2015 form after posting a 5.15 ERA with Seattle last year.

How long until we see Hunter Dozier starting in the majors? (will be at least 2 months). Kyle Zimmer come off another injury filled season that ended with surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome that will hopefully put and end to his shoulder troubles. Can Bubba Starling finally put his swing together now almost 6 years after being selected with the 5th overall pick.

I guess there is only one way to find out.
