Can I even play 2 people on one ps4 in one franchise? I know I can control all teams, but wondering if there can be 2 separate profiles in one franchise?

You can definitely create two profiles with different settings. You can only choose one per team when you start the franchise but I think when you go to team select at the beginning of games you can choose between any profile.

Never played with two people on the same team, dont really know how that works...

So I got curious and checked... You can definitely play 2 players on the same team in franchise and each player can have their own profile. Dunno how the game play actually works.

You just need to create a profile for yourself and one for your son.

        Game 41
        Pirates 4
        Cubs 5 (29 - 13)

Same score as last game, but the game was totally different. It felt like a HR derby early but it tightened up as the game progressed.

13 games in my Tribe sits at 11-2. HOF pure analog hitting and Legend pitching. Just lost the series opener to the Twins 6-5. My starting rotation is my strength thus far. I have a team BA of .267 and it is brought down big time by Carlos Santana. Idk what it is. I can't hit with him. His BA is ~ .100.

            Game 42 Pirates @ Cubs

Top of the 10th, tied at 6, watch the highlight. I give up an inside the park home run to a guy with less than 20 speed because I couldn't find the ball behind the wall at Wrigley. It is comical from the highlight reel angle.

Watch the bottom of the 10th to see how this classic ends.

Hey Guys, don't know what thread this would be in but hopefully you guys can help me out. I've got a franchise from 2016, and I'm currently about 20 games into the 2018 season. I'm pumped about the new game coming out, but I am admittedly skeptical/concerned about carrying over my Franchise.

I guess my question is - what can I expect? Are all my minor league players/guys I've drafted going to have different names? Are the stats - career and current season - going to be different or inaccurate? Are my concerns valid or am I missing out on a great experience by hesitating.

Seems that work great to me. Only issue is any real players not in the new game have a different name due to missing likeness rights.

Sitting at 9-11 through 20 games in my Yankees franchise, but took the first two games of the year against the Red Sox 3-1 and 9-5.

This is the 3-1 win, with Headley making a nice backhand play to save a run in the bottom of the 8th, then Sanchez and Solar going back to back in the top of the 10th. (I picked up Solar so I could bring Judge along a bit slower)

Wow, should have just lost to the Marlins in 11. Fly ball to the fence with a runner on 1st. Can't get to it, game over.... wait it hops over the fence for a ground rule double.

We are done though, no outs and runners on first and second. The computer suicide squeezes twice and misses both bunts. Runners are out. We strike out the next batter.

Wow, this team has 9 lives after winning the last 3 by 1 run. Saved the game in the top of the twelfth.

Just snapped a two game losing streak in my Cardinals carryover franchise. We are still in Spring Training. Quite a few battles going on as we try to solidify our bullpen and bench.

Peralta really struggling this Spring. And he is becoming a liability in the field. May look at trading him sooner rather than later.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

After running half a dozen 2017 sim tests, I can't get the Yankees to finish above .500. I even gave the starting 9 and the 5 man rotation a generous ratings boost. Almost everyone extremely underperforms what their ratings are, and the regression of Matt Holliday is absolutely ridiculous and unrealistic. No matter how high I put his ratings, they all end up in the 50s by the end of the season.
Also injuries are off! Crazy but will keep trying!

You should not need a team full of 90s and 80s players in order to field a winner! Could it be fixed?
I've done a couple of sims, minimum with the yanks was 58-104 and max was 93-69. In all of these sims I had the same lineup and rotation. I made one transaction before the season. DiDi and Mateo for Quintana.

If anyone could help me understand the budget in this game, I would greatly appreciate that. I'm trying to get used to free agency. I filled my 40 man, but I can't afford bumgardner and altuve who I had to offer 31 mil a year each for. Can only afford one which I can't understand because my pay roll is under 100 mill at the moment

Do the Yankees have guys that are no longer on the team but they're still paying salary on? I don't know if the game would count that in payroll.

There's also the issue of revenue sharing and luxury tax, but your payroll is way under the tax and I assume the game accounts for the amount of revenue you have to share with the smaller market teams before it spits out 100 million as your payroll.

All I know is that in my test right now I signed altuve and my payroll is 93 mil. My four biggest salaries for 2018 are 24.6 12.4 11.8 and 9.9. I have a 1.63 cash flow per week. I am being told I can't afford to pay Pineda 400k per week. I wonder if pending offers to my free agents has something to do with it

Well I currently have 4 outfielders battling for 2 bench spots on the Opening Day roster. Jon Jay, Jose Martinez, Tommy Pham, and Jeremy Hazelbaker. Each has a good game and then stinks it up the next.

Also have about 5 or 6 pitchers trying to fill 3 bullpen spots. And 2 starters for 1 rotation spot.

Only a handful of ST games left.
