I've had zero issues with hdr once I left it maxed out. The issue comes when you start changing your picture settings in game. Once you change something the screen looks awful and you can't fix it unless you go back to main menu.

This........messing with the HDR settings doesn't seem to be something you can do on the fly with TS17. You make a change, you need to save that change and restart the application. At least that solved my issues I was having

So my first game was played on 4k with the hdr slider maxed. The visuals were incredible, but the frame rate was kinda choppy like 16 was. I switched to enhanced visuals and have been absolutely blown away. No choppiness and the visuals are absolutely gorgeous.

Try not to use dynamic contrast, it over saturates the picture. Give your eyes time to adjust and the picture will look awesome without dynamic contrast. It makes everything look brighter but you lose little details in the overall picture. It's my opinion but I've read that from a few credible places such as the AVS forums where they are tv gurus lol.

Thanks man. I exited to the main menu of the game and set the HDR Intensity to the max and then closed out the game. Booted it back up and it seems a little better now. I'll keep testing different parks to see if I get that really dim/dark look again.

Tried messing with HDR for a while and just can't get it to look right. Too bright and washed out. Basically tried everything with the intensity slider.

I don't have this issue on any other game so I know it's not my TV. The game looks amazing without HDR so I'm just gonna leave it off. For now anyway.

Go to main menu. Put intensity slider all the way up. Have your backlight all the way up. Will not be washed out at all.

I'll try this when I get home tonight. I kept on changing mine so maybe that was my issue. I'll try 100% intensity tonight. I had it at 80% last night and it was fine. I'll try both to see which one is better.
