MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
I don't normally play spring training but I decided to in full 4k and hdr. For a game or two. Not sure I'm gonna try the enhanced. This looks so good and I don't want to not go back. Im 5 innings in and fine playing so far framerate wise.Last edited by ricky24; 03-28-2017, 04:58 PM.Comment

I want to be happy playing this game visually so I think I will be with HDR off. Doesn't affect enhanced visuals or framerate anyway.

On what setting? 4K, enhanced visuals or high frame rate? And do you change any setting on the tv itself?Comment

Maxed out HDR on original PS4 in main menu then turned on hdr on my tv. The game looks amazing. Not sure since it's my first game if it's doing anything. Going to turn off next game and see what it does.
Not sure how it could look any better really.

Everyone with ks8000/8500 or above model, set HDR intensity to 100%, save your settings, close the app if in game and leave the settings alone. The picture won't look washed out or too bright. It'll be fine. Make sure your back light is maxed and SMART LED is set to high.

Do you mean KS8000 current year model and JS8500 from a year ago??

Have you guys tried lowering HDR intensity to maybe 25%, saving the settings and restarting?

I just exchanged my Sony X800d for the KS8000. Fixing to take it out of the box now. I blame you btw lol

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
They should really implement something similar to Mass Effect: Andromeda in regards to properly calibrating the HDR intensity in game. In ME:A, there are two white boxes next to each other, one is slightly off white, and you adjust HDR intensity just until the two boxes blend together.
I have absolutely no idea what to set HDR intensity to in MLB The Show. I recall in one of the Dev live streams they said the HDR bar goes from 0-1000 nits, but I have no clue how many nits my Vizio P65 is in HDR, and even if I did, would it be the appropriate setting?Green Bay Packers

I guess I'll just play with HDR off. Just disappointing because that is one of the reasons I upgraded.
