I'd recommend turning Dynamic Contrast off. Try it, and let me know what you think.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
First a huge THANK YOU!!! to this thread and those in it.
I have been wrestling with my tv for a while, well since I got it to get the settings the way I like. Long story short, I got them the way I liked and basically it was "blown out" too bright for its own good.
Listening here and there, I finally got some settings on my KS8000 that make everything look tremendous.
The most recent changes are:
Brightness - 45 down from 60
Dynamic Contrast - Medium down from High
I believe there were more settings on the TV changed, but these are the big ones.
In game:
Improved Graphics down from 4K
Thank you all again, the game looks and plays spectacularlyComment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
I am having the exact same issue. It is driving me nuts. I have to have dynamic contrast on high for it to look good. I have also noticed when looking at the MLB Network score tracker box when HDR is on, it loses all of it's pop along with the picture mostly only when batting. When I turn Dynamic Contrast on to high it looks great but the sky is too bright. So frustrating. I have tried most tips and tricks in the last 15 pages of this forum too and just about every setting. Please let me know if you find a fix.Comment

Actually I typically remove most "artificial" processing. Theoretically should reduce lag time too. But likely not noticeable to the human eye.

I could be wrong but I can't help but feel like people having issues with HDR must have a setting either on their PS4, or TV, or both that just needs to be adjusted or tweaked.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
Well I think it'd have to be placebo because boost mode shouldn't have anything to do with this if you're on a Pro, it's Pro Enhanced and for that, boost is irrelevant. But who knows, if it works better for you then that's all that matters.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
I would also recommend googling your TV set model "calibration settings". Each set will be slightly different from the factory, but some setting will at least give you a baseline. They are almost always Movie mode, but look for Movie -Day mode, or similar and go from there. Trust me...will make all the difference in the world.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
Dynamic contrast off, brightness at 45. Brightness over 45 and you're going to have a washed up picture and destroying your black levels. If you're using HDR turn up your back light to max which is 20, Smart LED to high. Also, make sure you disable all ECO settings on your tv since this tends to lower the brightness depending on your lighting in the room.
