Probably a dumb question but what's up with the yellow half circles while batting? I swear those are not there for me.

      That's the plate coverage indicator.

For whatever reason, Uncharted 4 with dynamic contrast off for me looks beautiful and some other games. NBA 2k17 and the show 17 look almost like there's a dark shroud over it until I put dynamic contrast on low, medium, or high(medium is the best for me)

I'd recommend turning Dynamic Contrast off. Try it, and let me know what you think.

First a huge THANK YOU!!! to this thread and those in it.

I have been wrestling with my tv for a while, well since I got it to get the settings the way I like. Long story short, I got them the way I liked and basically it was "blown out" too bright for its own good.

Listening here and there, I finally got some settings on my KS8000 that make everything look tremendous.

              The most recent changes are:

              Brightness - 45 down from 60
Dynamic Contrast - Medium down from High
I believe there were more settings on the TV changed, but these are the big ones.

              In game:
              Improved Graphics down from 4K

Thank you all again, the game looks and plays spectacularly

I am having the exact same issue. It is driving me nuts. I have to have dynamic contrast on high for it to look good. I have also noticed when looking at the MLB Network score tracker box when HDR is on, it loses all of it's pop along with the picture mostly only when batting. When I turn Dynamic Contrast on to high it looks great but the sky is too bright. So frustrating. I have tried most tips and tricks in the last 15 pages of this forum too and just about every setting. Please let me know if you find a fix.

Actually I typically remove most "artificial" processing. Theoretically should reduce lag time too. But likely not noticeable to the human eye.

I'm in agreement here, there are a lot of things and just one thing wrong can make it all wrong.

Maybe it was placebo but I turned boost mode off and the game plays a lot smoother. I'm only in 1080p as well.

I had Dynamic Contrast on medium as well but finally followed everyones advice and turned it off. It looks "not as good" initially but now I think it looks great without it.

You may want to try it and see what you think, but give it a little time.

Well I think it'd have to be placebo because boost mode shouldn't have anything to do with this if you're on a Pro, it's Pro Enhanced and for that, boost is irrelevant. But who knows, if it works better for you then that's all that matters.

I would also recommend googling your TV set model "calibration settings". Each set will be slightly different from the factory, but some setting will at least give you a baseline. They are almost always Movie mode, but look for Movie -Day mode, or similar and go from there. Trust me...will make all the difference in the world.

Can having boost mode on hurt gameplay for games optimized for the pro at all?

If you're using HDR turn up your back light to max which is 20, Smart LED to high. Also, make sure you disable all ECO settings on your tv since this tends to lower the brightness depending on your lighting in the room.

I disagree. I have spent hours fiddling with everything on this forum to make the KS8000 look good with HDR and the only way it looks good is when dynamic contrast is set to high. The biggest thing that makes me say this is that the MLB Network score box is dull and washed out when dynamic contrast is off and looks natural when it's set to high.
