I just recently loaded the sounds of the show for my team and it takes the immersion factor to an all together different level as well (thanks Armor and Sword). I've started loading the sounds for all the teams. Main thing with RTTS is to not be in a hurry and just enjoy the ride.
What is this sounds of the show thing and where can I find this thread on it?

I'm on my phone, so I can not copy the link to you. Its on the main OS page. Its about the 4th section down. You'll see the sliders page, the roster page, then I think diamond dynasty, then the SOTS I believe. SOTS allows you to add music to players, stadiums, cheers, yells, like you would hear at a real life game. It is time consuming, but wow what a way to immerse you into the game. It is well worth the time put into it. Low light and Matty have done a great job to bring this to us members. Go look at the SOTS page. You won't regret it.

Ok cool man thanks. Are those the ones I enter when I'm editing my player? Or do I input them somewhere else?

Ya, after they are all downloaded, yes you would put them in the edit player screen. They have great instructions and tutorials on how to do everything. It is really easy once you get use to it. Everything I learned about it, I got from the sots section.

After an awful start to April batting .220 and batting .245 in may. I've kicked things up in June with my Stl Cf.

              Currently batting .265 10hr 34 rbi .335obp .450slg

I was fiddling around with difficulty and the pci is the same size for hof and legend so it seems the difficulty bump for playing at the mlb level is still in affect this year.

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

I'm really loving the rtts mode this year. I like playing all positions so the switching doesn't bother me and really if you look at how many players are moved around, it doesn't bug me that it can happen. After about the first 3 weeks, they told me I was going to play left field, I said no I'm a first baseman and I sat. When I came back, I was playing left field. Played for 10 games and I was back at first.

Then my season took off. I'm hitting
.345 with 22 homers and 73 rbi with a month and a half to go in the double a season. I'm a 66 overall and am just hoarding points for the next level in case I'm not a starter, I can go a whole season and not have to get any points to stay the same at least until I get my starting shot.

That being said, I played in the all star game which I believe was in Texas but can't remember right and I was on all star hitting because my pci was much smaller but still was 3 for 3, 2rbi and a double and some pinch hitter for us won NOV with his 1 for 1 and a single. Kinda odd.

I know the game plays easier on the lower levels but I'm loving it. Hired my agent, dealt a bit with some coaches and such. Pretty fun but man, I sympathise with the guys who get stuck playing where they dont want to

It seems like I'm stuck at first base. My speed & arm strength will go to waste there. Maybe I'll get traded again.

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

I just finished the 2018 season with my RTTS pitcher. I was called up to the Reds directly from AA on June 28. I played well for the first few games but then things got much more difficult. I finished 5-7 (95.2 I, 104 K, 4.05 ERA, 1.13 WHIP). The Reds finished 62-100 (last in the NL Central).

I also gave up Andrew McCutchens' 200th HR at PNC Park in the middle of a bad outing. I just hung my head in shame as he trotted around the bases and the crowd went crazy.

I was a little surprised when they offered me a 1-yr., $1.3 million contract as their ace. I'm only a 72 OVR. I added a slider to the 4-seam fastball, curve, and change in the spring.

I'd like to play for a more competitive team but on the other hand, they did offer a nice contract.

Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

My RTTS froze last night and I can no longer progress. Ive been simming games and after a mediocre third and fourth year I was up and down between AAA and riding the pine in the show (which killed my stats) before they suddenly designated me for assignment!!! Two days later we had 'the big brass' come and visit, I clicked ok to proceed and the game glitched out. I saved a few games before this and it happens every time. So this RTTS is done. Dead.

Edit: just read this issue has been fixed in the latest patch!!! Sweet!!!!! Great work sds :-)

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

I've had an up and down start.

I was drafted by the Rays as a third baseman. Played AA for half a season, then AAA for the next half. Then I was suddenly traded to Oakland as a starter, but they have put me as a fist base.

I'm on dynamic hitting and I must have put the sliders too far to the right as I was hitting way too many homers for a 19 year old, so much so that I had an at bat in the all star game, effectively making me the youngest all star ever I think. Anyway, I sorted my sliders out and they're now much more realistic.

I currently have an average of .285 and have hit 4 homers up to May. I occasionally play third base too. They are swapping me around so it's a bit confusing.

The trouble is, I'm now basically a bench pitch hitter. And my stats are tumbling because I'm playing 1 at bat every 3 days. I refuse to pay Sony money just to get more XP so I am stuck in a rut. Hopefully it will sort itself out because I've already paid for the game and I shouldn't have to pay even more just to play one of the modes. I'm still enjoying it, just frustrated about 1) the stats going down 2) How badly the Oakland As suck.

Feeling very immersed so far, but one thing I would like to see is more interaction between players after a big hit. Like when you knock in 2 with a late-inning double the players in the dugout and the guys who scored should point at you and you should react somehow, stuff like that. Right now I feel the animations don't properly reflect my emotions after making a big play at some high leverage point in the game.

I play as a LF for the cardinals and saw something cool i haven't seen before. One of my teammates hits a homerun and after crossing the plate it show a cut scene of him going down the receiving line as they call it in stl and two handing everyone in line. As a big cards fan this is the kind of immersion in presentation and team specific stuff I love in this game!

Is it worth it to go back to college? Tried it once, only got 150 extra points, but it bumped my potential from a C to a B.

Only if you'd rather play for a different team.
