Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

So in my RTTS with the Angels, (where somehow I skipped AAA after the all-star straight to the show) we just passed the trade deadline, and we made some niiiice moves.

We got rid of Garrett Richards (who was doing good, but..) and Andrelton Simmons but picked up Jose Ramirez from the Indians and Kris Davis from the A's. As well as Trevor Rosenthal, 26yo RP with B potential

    Batting order -

    Jose Ramirez
    Cameron Maybin
    Mike Trout
    Kris Davis (DH)
    Albert Pujos
    Kole Calhoun
    Me
    Yunel Escobar
    Drew Butera

Today I tried listing my diamond ritual equipment in the marketplace but says it's equipped and I need to un-equip it. I went into rtts and un-equipped it and saved it...but still says it's equipped. ???? What am I missing? Any help or ideas?

Have you checked your CaP in DD?

I thought on the rtts had the option to equip this to a player, I'll check that. Thanks

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

Finished my first season with the Pirates organization. I led AA in batting average most of the year, hitting just over .300. There was another 3B (Huey Soleri) who absolutely raked in terms of batting that led most other categories. I only hit 8 HRs the entire year, but coupled that with 79 RBIs.

Altoona managed to make the playoffs, we actually won the West in the Eastern League (confusing), but once the regular season ended, the Pirates called me up to the majors. I was disappointed only because I wanted to help in the playoffs. I believe Altoona lost in the first round to Harrisburg, a team that seemed to have our number all season.

A month with the Pirates didn't go all that well. I hit .238 but had a rather decent OBP of .365 thanks to drawing a ton of walks, whereas with Altoona, I only walked about a dozen times all year. It was one of the rare instances where I had a higher OBP than slugging percentage. No homers, a handful of doubles, and a triple.

The Pirates, of course, made the playoffs and went on to lose the World Series without me. In the offseason, they offered me a 4-year contract at $3.3 million per. I should say, they initially offered it over six years and I countered with three, we settled on four. I was a tad surprised after just one year in AA and no time in AAA they were willing to deal this way, but I guess I'll be on the Pirates next season barring a demotion.

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

Just finally settled into a main RTTS. Made myself a 5'9 160lbs. left handed starting pitcher. I throw a running fastball, forkball, palmball, screwball, and a cutter. Ended up getting drafted out of high school by the Phillies 8th overall in the 1st round. Am just been destroying Double-A hitters but then my guy is rated 70OVR as I had a lot of Stubs saved up and am also using mostly all diamond equipment. So far, through the first month of the season I am sporting a 4-0 record with a 0.00ERA, and 51SO through 31.1IP. I am playing on the hardest difficulty but then I have always been by far better at pitching in MLB The Show games then hitting. Am hoping the things get tougher once I reach Triple-A and eventually the Majors. Once I make the majors I tend to keep my player rated between 88-92OVR as I try not to make myself rated 99OVR.

Can you get quirks for your player? If so how?

You can only get quirks that are tied to attribute ratings, which really have no impact. As far as I know there is no way to get quirks that make you a good first pitcher hitter and what not.

What am i supposed to do when im playing Outfield to rob a home run? Are you just supposed to stand on the indicator and press R1 at a certain time or do you have to run and press r1? Im so confused on what to do.

Decided to make a SP. Did super good in the pitching drill, and I only gave up 1 hit in the 6 showcase innings. I was drafted 16th overall to the Yankees.

Does anyone know if there is a milestone for breaking the consecutive saves streak as a closing pitcher?

I just picked up 2017 today and transferred my closing pitcher career. In my first training session I received gold and 2000 training points. In 2016, I think the most I ever got was around 350-400. Do training sessions yield more points this year?

I doubt it would celebrate that but who knows

Saw another first for me in this years game. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd the CPU pitcher threw a fastball behind me that didn't hit me. So my batter walks toward the mound and points the bat at the pitcher and starts jawing. At which time the catcher cuts me off and my guy kind of shoulders him off and starts jawing him. I have never seen this in any previous game before. So awesome I was like charge the mound, lets go. Haha!!!
