All true. But this thread is usually about coming in and asking for realistic advice.

True that was dumb of me to say. I have a question. Who are the most likely teams to take Cutch and give me trade possibilities please

Likely teams. Yankees have been rumored, but like some have said it is unlikely. Rangers could swing it, Blue Jay's if they give up one of their good SP which is unlikely, Dodgers, Nationals if Werth goes dead or injury, Mets possibly.

That is about it I believe that could make a point to acquire him.

Could you see the Indians taking a shot at him as the Indians have Abraham Almonte in Right Field. In my opinion the Pirates would probably want Triston McKenzie or Brady Aiken plus maybe Nolan Jones. Could you see this as a good trade?

That's fine and I'll end up getting Quintana for that exactly that most likely but I have 0 interest in McCutchen and a ton in Brad Miller. I realize that the WhiteSox probably have little to zero interest in Cutch. Do you/anyone see a world where the Rays get McCutchen in a Miller trade? That would make it so much easier haha

No unless the pirates add Hanson to give the rays a new second basemen as Cutch would move to a DH role with the Rays, but I don't think the Rays would want Cutch. As much as I would love to see Cutch get traded I think the only way he leaves Pittsburgh is if his option doesn't get picked up

I respectfully disagree with the Rays not wanting Cutch for the right price. They were rumored as a sneaky team to get him in December. I would also want to give Frazier/Moroff to make up for losing a middle infielder. I would easily give up some other prospect to get Miller and Weeks (platoon guy), along with Cutch and Frazier/Moroff.

Im not gonna argue with that but the Rays have Mallex Smith, Kevin Kiermaier, and Steven Souza Jr in their outfield plus Rasmus who is on the DL plus Corey Dickerson so I think the Rays are out

I do think the Giants are probably the best fit for Cutch as they are in need of an OF but they don't have the prospects the Pirates would want to acquire since Lucius Fox was traded to the Rays

Arroyo could work as the headliner and Cutch could play LF in San Fran

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

Once July hits, i'm shipping Quintana & Dan Jennings to Atlanta for Newcomb, Austin Riley, Ronald Acuna, and Max Fried. My thinking is i'm hoping Atlanta is in wild card contention by mid july, as Q would bolster their rotation to Teheran, Q, Colon, Dicky, and J. Garcia. And Jennings would give them a late innings lefty who is solid (2.08era over 60.2 innings in 2016). Then for the sox, while i'm getting a haul from atlanta i'm not just stealing all their farm, Newcomb has questions about his control, while i'm taking Fried i'm still leaving them Allard, Soroka, and Anderson, Acuna is a top guy, but they have Peterson and Patche to fill his void, Austin Riley is expendable due to Rio Ruiz taking 3rd. So to me i feel its a fair move for both teams, also once Colon and Dicky leave/retire at years end, they still have 2 solid starters, then can fill in the rest of the rotation with Foltynewicz, Wisler, Blair, Sims

As long as you don't give up Mejia or Zimmer for the Indians I think you'd be okay. It really depends on how Cutch is playing

Thats true. I really think that the Indians have Almonte instead of someone else because they have Zimmer who is on the cusp of coming up
