What about Gallo? Hes literally exactly what I need (no Kang) and Rangers completely lack one OF. I would add whatever necessary to get him. Only thing is he is Beltre's replacement, but I was reading the Rangers are starting to give up on him/looking to trade him for win now value.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Once July hits, i'm shipping Quintana & Dan Jennings to Atlanta for Newcomb, Austin Riley, Ronald Acuna, and Max Fried. My thinking is i'm hoping Atlanta is in wild card contention by mid july, as Q would bolster their rotation to Teheran, Q, Colon, Dicky, and J. Garcia. And Jennings would give them a late innings lefty who is solid (2.08era over 60.2 innings in 2016). Then for the sox, while i'm getting a haul from atlanta i'm not just stealing all their farm, Newcomb has questions about his control, while i'm taking Fried i'm still leaving them Allard, Soroka, and Anderson, Acuna is a top guy, but they have Peterson and Patche to fill his void, Austin Riley is expendable due to Rio Ruiz taking 3rd. So to me i feel its a fair move for both teams, also once Colon and Dicky leave/retire at years end, they still have 2 solid starters, then can fill in the rest of the rotation with Foltynewicz, Wisler, Blair, SimsComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Plouffe was non-tendered, Lowrie is always hurt and Alonso is a 1B with below average power. So id say all have minimal value.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Sweet thanks. We do see eye to eye on this one. Im still trying to figure a way to get Yelich to the yankees though haha. Im just really trying not to rip off the comp as bad this year. The comp was willing to trade me Tanaka and tyler austin straight up for yelich and I know that it wouldnt even be close to fair so that is why this is my first year here. I have an idea what is fair but like other peoples opinion to let me know if i am close enough to a fair deal
So this is last year's list at the trade deadline. Not I need to add the disclaimer that everything you see on the opinion based posts from Fangraphs is not gospel. But Dave Cameron is tied into front offices. Yelich was listed as the 23rd most valuable trade asset in the big leagues. Ahead of Polanco, Quintana, and just behind deGrom and Archer. This was before he posted another 4+ WAR season. You said you have an idea of what is fair, what were you thinking now that you've gotten ideas on here?

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I view him as a little more valuable then I did before I started talking about it on here. I always viewed him as valuable but my value of him has gone up since. Moncada is #26 on that list which should mean for this year torres should be right around that area as well not that I am willing to trade him but it gives me an idea of what i need to give up to get Yelich. Im probably looking to piece together a deal with three or four prospects to revamp their starting rotation that has gone down hill and below avg.
But yeah if you want to do something like Justus Sheffield, James Kaprelian, Jorge Mateo and Aaron Judge that could work. And it lets you keep Torres, Sanchez and Frazier

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Except that Torres is a 60FV player which is really great for a prospect and Moncada is a 70FV player which is an elite prospect

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
That list gives you prospect values. There isn't an updated one for pros, but if there's players you want just let me or the community here know and one of us can run the numbers. The formula is basically (Projected WAR total x Value of One WAR - Contract Cost) there's some question about inflation and all that, but that's the basic aspect of it

This isn't the only list, you can find them also on Baseball America and ESPN and MLB Pipeline, but I like Eric Longenhagen's work. This will list all the relevant prospect eligible guys
