Realistically I'd find it hard to find a good package for him. Around the park there's a lot of hope and it centers around him. Good power, good discipline. Wherever he goes it's best for an AL team

If you ask me, realistically, I'd rather see Schwarber go. With Jimenez on the rise, not to mention Happ and Martinez that outfield is going to be full. He just seems like such a better fit in the AL.

Maybe, but I reckon his speed he's shown in these first few games keeps him on the team. Could go either way though, you're right and Smith is easier to send down. Still don't think Bourjois has any significant trade value though, even between division teams

I know what I have with Schwarber. He gets a bad rap as far as an OF, mainly after the 2015 NLCS. You don't trade away a bat like that. He might be the best overall hitter they have.

No. And I like Smith and Robertson better than Bourjos but word around the park is that they'll be the first to go when Rasmus/Duffy comes back. But Bourjos has no realistic value.

We can agree to disagree. Eloy Jimenez is a much better outfielder and his drop off bat wise is small. But we will see. Any good deadline trade to bolster a Cubs weakness will include a package with at least one of those three.

Agreed! For their sake, maybe they can get the DH implemented in the NL in the next few years 😂

I hang around the same park and I don't get that sense. He's got 2 years of club control left and then he becomes expensive. The new park won't be built by then (fingers crossed on the St. Pete bid) which means they aren't going to pay him if he breaks out and if he doesn't then it really won't matter. They're not winning in the next 2 years so why not get some talent that is 3-5 years away that will be ready for the new ball park? I'd question the discipline but it's not enough to debate about. The power is there in abundance though.

This one paragraph is the most detailed conversation I've had about the Rays in over a year, thanks for sparking it!

I actually wrote an article for my colleges paper with the suggestion of allowing the home team choose for DH or not across the league. I actually just heard the boys from CSN-Chi mention it tonight too. I think it would add a layer of strategy.

You don't get a lot of good Rays talk, even around their home park.

What's the value of Tony Watson from Pittsburgh? Would 2 B potential prospects be fair?

Also would LAA move Cam Bedrosian? He made a dominant jump last season and has loads of team control left so I'm thinking they'd have to be blown away?

Is there anyone else that is having trouble getting trades to go through? I started up a Twins franchise with OSFM17 rosters and was trying to complete a few trades. After a a while I found one I like with the Mets, and it said, "we're interested in doing this trade with you" but when I click to submit trade request, they deny it and it says, "this trade is not what we're looking for at the time." After I saw that I made the trade a little more favorable in their favor, but it still gets denied. Tried a couple trades with other teams and still got denied even if it says their interested in that trade. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Most of us use force trades and 30 team control since we try to do fair and realistic trades

When you do the 30 team control, how much do you have to do for the other teams? If that would limit the amount of unrealistic trades the computer does that would be great.
