    Josh Harrison
    Kang??

    LAA send -
    Alex Meyer
    Brandon Marsh
    Espinosa
    Heaney
    Calhoun
    Simmons

    My thoughts are:
PIT have shopped these 2 this winter and as such a deal is there to be made.
PIT get 2 of my top prospects in Meyer and Marsh, both rated B.
Espinosa gives them more pop than Harrison, but is a minor downgrade, yet comes in at $4m cheaper and his deal expires this year.
Calhoun is a serviceable outfielder and is tied in for 3 more years.
Simmons is a big upgrade at SS
Heaney B rated SP but coming off Tommy John.

LAA get a legit superstar to backup Trout in 'Cutch, plus take on his deal and the gamble of free agency in 2018
Harrison offers a more consistent bat and fielding option at 2nd
Kang has ?? as im not sure on the move to add him as a 3rd wheel in the deal.

Genuinely interested on all thoughts from those more experienced, as im ready to pull the trigger
    PIT send - Surplus value
    McCutcheon 43
    Josh Harrison 0.5
    Kang?? 34.5

    LAA send -
    Alex Meyer 11
    Brandon Marsh 11
    Espinosa 9.8
    Heaney 27.3
    Calhoun 78.5
    Simmons 66.4

These values might get different opinion based on ARB years or projected WAR opinion. Id say to take our calhoun heaney and Marsh or however you want to do it

      Cheers for looking for me.

I probably look at things differently to alot of you, I mean I like my 'names'... I suppose in the US you may call them Superstars. So id sell my soul to get a team of them, im not a big fan of producing my own talent, id rather trade them out, get in a player to do the job now... then re-trade for them should another team turn them into a stud

This is where a bit of my lack of baseball knowledge comes in, in turns of rosters and their depth. So when there is a chance to put Cutch alongside Trout, id sell my nan and her cat to do it... at the same time, I like to at least keep it realistic in terms of not screwing over the AI, even if it hurts me (in many peoples eyes).

So as long as PIT are getting value for Cutch, im happy on that. The Harrison deal im not overly fussed on, so will probably cancel that and stick with my hand until I can hit the off-season.

Losing Simmons is the only real issue for me, id like a year with him at short... im probably weakening myself there, having to move Escobar to SS and Valbuena to 3B.

How does a package of Mateo, Rutherford and Williams look for Sonny Gray to yankees at deadline? A's are out of it, and he has about a 3.40 ERA. Will be an upgrade for me and hopefully he can return to form

Way too much I think. As we know The game is pretty unrealistic with trades. As soon as you start a fracnhise you can trade rutherford to the cubs straight up for schwarber. That being said if the Yankees were to trade for gray, I dont think they would have to give up Rutherford and Mateo

Of course what matters is what you think of these players

Is there anyway to get around players declining so hard after like age 33. Doing a franchise with the jays and half the team regresses very hard before the end of the season. Also Charlie Blackmon to jays, colorado is 10 games under and blackmon is hitting well what would the value be. Thanks

doing a franchise as the dodgers, and going into June, I'm trying hard to get Justin Turner out of LA. Numbers have regressed to his time with the Mets (.245/.290/.357 slash line) and Kike and Utley have given me a good platoon at second (seager to third, forsythe at ss). With his sizable contract, is there anything of value I could get back? Trying to replenish the farm a little, but I guess I could also try and upgrade one of the corner outfield spots as well

Some compromising photos of Brian Cashman?

Realistically, the Yankees and Braves are a poor match and New York has little incentive to move Judge at the moment unless it's part of a larger deal for a superstar.

If you're just looking for fairness, if it were my franchise I'd feel comfortable with a package of one of Allard/Soroka/Newcomb plus a lower ceiling/safer position player like Dustin Peterson or a fast-moving RP prospect like A.J. Minter. You'll definitely need to "overpay" a bit to pry away a potential 40-HR hitter with beaucoup team control like Judge.

Yes. Young guy that plays 2B, 3B, LF, CF, RF with tons of speed.

Are you the Padres trying to trade him away or trying to get him?

They never got called up so players who were only going to miss a few weeks, ended up being out almost all season.

My Rangers are performing much better than my last outing and I'm leading the AL West by 1.5 games over the Astros. Like my last franchise, I've dealt Profar, Guzman and Smoral to the Royals for Hosmer. Also like my last franchise, I have interest in acquiring Phil Hughes. His stats are as follows (Mid-June):
                            W/L: 6-5 | ERA 3.48 | 82.2 IP | 1.21 WHIP | WAR 1.1

In my last franchise, we agreed that a straight up swap of Hughes for Perez was fair as the Twins received a young, cheaper, struggling but still full of potential starter. I also took on the entirety of Hughes contract. However, my situation has changed. Perez is pitching lights out and currently holds the 3rd best ERA in the AL (16th Overall because the NL is insane). Thus, I don't have any interest in moving him. My weak spot in the rotation is Tyson Ross.
                            W/L: 1-6 | 6.68 ERA | 63.1 IP | 1.61 WHIP | WAR .3

I know a straight up swap isn't fair. The Twins are 12 games back in the Central behind the leading White Sox (WTF?) and should be willing to move Hughes. If I take on Hughes whole contract, is a swap of Ross, Jairo Beras and Chi Chi Gonzalez fair?
Of course he is, he has that type of potential which is why I had no problem with a 1-1 swap. Ross can work the gate collecting tickets, he has zero value. I don't want to price you out of the market for Hughes so let me look some stuff up on the Rangers farm and I'll get back to you but, look at it from the other side, would you trade Perez for Gonzalez (didn't he just break?) and Beras (hope and a dream?). Yes, Hughes numbers in this scenario aren't quite as good but I think we've taken too big of a step down.

I like Mateo+Adams+Fowler in this scenario. The Darvish package we came up with the other day plus some.

I'll have to start fresh again, which doesn't bother me. I did the deal when I didn't get a response. I wasn't sure how much value the Twins would see in saving 13 mill a season for three years. Karma must have hit me though as Cashner has a torn labrum and is out the rest of the season. Hughes got shelled in his first start before taking a liner in the 5th inning which broke his forearm and now he's out for over two months.

I'm going to reset, re-evaluate and then I'll have some questions. Sorry if I'm wearing you guys out with trade scenarios.

If you don't want to restart, we can come up with an additional piece for MIN to make the value square but given the outcome... sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug. Yeah baseball!

Don't fret about Hughes contract. While 13 million is a lot to you and me, it'll buy you a win or two in MLB. The Twins want him to eat 200 innings and as long as he gets 1 WAR, it's a good deal for them.
