It is, I figure I'll see who is around at the deadline, some team will need a closer and I can be rid of him. Betances will do just fine in the ninth.

      Hi all,
So i decided to run a White Sox chise alongside my Twins one. Right now I am sitting at the deadline and I'm out of it as expected so looking to move pieces.
My pitching staff other than Rodon and Quintana are awful. However Quintana is 10-3 with a 2.67 ERA (only pitcher with a winning record).

So I'm looking to flip him for prospects, one team that interested me who is still in it is the Braves somehow. What could I get back from them?

I don't believe trading for Cahill is unrealistic. The Cubs liked him as a regular season guy. However your best move IMO would be to start Montgomery and add a pitcher via FA.

Another route would be going all in on Archer or Quintana. You have many players who are blocked.

He's a free agent, listed as Luis Robert Moriant. 64 OVR I believe. From everything I've seen, he is going by Luis Robert

Since I'm stuck on a road trip with nothing else to do, is there an Aroldis Chapman package that nets Martin Perez and Joey Gallo? The main target being Gallo, while Perez has had his issues in the majors but has value on that contract if he can be solid.

Don't believe Texas is ready to give up on Gallo. He'll essentially be the every day 3B when Beltre retires.

Not unless you pay it down a bunch. If you have the Rangers pay $50 million in prospects that's like saying they should have just paid Chapman $130 million and kept their prospects. Plus the Rangers have good bullpen depth

In my opinion you can get a fringe top 100 prospect for him as is. If you take on a bad contract you can get something more along the lines of what you day dreamed about. Take on Ryan Zimmerman and maybe the Nats consider Joe Ross for example

Decided to roll with the Reds in my Franchise. I am really not a fan of Iglesias as my closer after the first few games.

Desperately need more power in the lineup, but pitching is my worst situation. What's the value of Iglesias at this point?

A bit of a different kind of question but I think it fits here.

I have Craig Kimbrel on my team and he's been awful - 6 blown saves, an 0-4 record, and an era over 6. He's making 7.8 million for the season. What would a team normally do with a guy like this? I'm talking managing a baseball team. He has one minor league option left, but would a team really send down someone making almost 8 million dollars?

I moved him to the setup role and his first game back he blew open a tie game in the eighth which we ended up losing. I sorta wanna get rid of him but I'm not sure what a fair move would be. Maybe a prospect + Kimbrel for a reliever from a team thats out of contention? Is that fair since he's on a one year deal?

Rajai is having a great season for me, but looking ahead to 2018, I'd like to acquire Trayce Thompson. What's his value? In my franchise he has been in AAA all year (no stats not at home right now)

I don't think sending him down to "work out his stuff" his out of the question, but he wouldn't get left down there permanently.

His value is damaged, so not sure who would trade a haul for him at this point, but he's an elite reliever so I'd probably just hang on to him unless you're out of contention yourself. Any other solution is selling low, IMO.

I work with a big Red Sox fan. He always tells me that Kimbrel is finicky and is only MAYBE good when he is in a 3 run save situation.

I think it largely depends on where you are in the season. If you are using the Red Sox I would only trade him to a contender in the NL like the Yanks did with Chapman. Otherwise, maybe send him to AAA for a month, try out a new closer and make your decision after a few weeks.
