I think I may have found a work around for the people who like to use QC but feel turned off due to pitchers coming out in the 4th/5th/6th innings while dealing.
Currently, I am in my Yankees franchise playing against the Rays with Matt Andriese on the mound. Through 4 innings, I had only mustered 3 hits off of him.
In the 5th inning, I saw the pop up that Jumbo Diaz was warming up in the bullpen. So I decided to go to switch the the rays, and I sat down both of the relievers that were warming up. I switched back to the Yanks and then flew out with Castro. Next guy up, the same two relievers were warming up. So i did it again and switched to the rays and sat the relievers down and then switched back and finished the at bat.
I've noticed that once you get to the 5th inning, the CPU will start warming relievers up after every batter if you use this method, but I am now in the 7th inning and Andriese is still in the game with 67 pitches. I will see how long I am able to keep him in the game using this method.'
Edit:
The Rays brought in Jumbo Diaz in the bottom of the 8th inning just now. I'm not sure if he was warming up before the last out of the top of the 8th, but I will have to check into that the next time. Another possible solution would be to switch to the rays right after the last out of the top of the 8th happens. But I am encouraged to see Andriese make it through 7 innings using this strategy.
