Re: MLB The Show 18 The Little Things

I am loving the dirt and grass stains on the uniforms this year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Sandy Leon caught a night-game for me last night, and he had fluorescent red nail polish on so my pitcher could see the signs from the plate.

Not sure if that has always been in there, but it looked very cool.

I'd love to see the crowd give a standing ovation for the starter as he leaves the mound if he's had a great game.

I'm pretty sure I have seen this in past iterations. I know for sure after a strong pitching performance, the crowd swells as the pitcher walks towards the dugout, and he tips his cap to acknowledge the ovation.

Not sure if that was skipped this year, but I have seen it for sure.

It's still in, they did it for Keuchel at Minute Maid for me.

It’s actually a nail cover sort of like those fake acrylic nails. They glue it to the nail. It’s been in The Show for a few years now.

Versing the dbacks with greinke pitching and someone from the crowd yells out "cmon greinke finish it up", with the hitter down on a 1-2 count.

My catchers used to paint on White-Out back in the day.

Came with the brush, peeled right off after the game, and you could see it a mile a way.

Google White-Out for you younguns' that have never heard of it.

Maybe it's been in game but I've never seen it or accidentally never allowed it to play out.... Batting with RTTS player.... Pitcher throws behind me. I start out barking at the catcher and the catcher stands and we walk closer and the conversation becomes heated. Ump stands up and puts his arm between us.....

                    Loved it.

Do kids not use White-Out anymore?! I used to love brushing away my mistakes with the little brush.

This may not be new, but it's new to me! I've been using a beat up controller for the past few years and the little speaker in the controller hasn't worked in forever. I got a new one last month and now, at times when I am batting on the road, a heckler will scream out "Swing!" just as the pitch approaches. It's really frustrating when I end up swinging at a pitch out of the zone! I can only imagine how real players feel about hecklers.

Wait, seriously? There are heckles coming out of the controller speaker?

Are there any other sounds utilized? Sure would be a great spot to have the catcher or first baseman yell out a stealing runner eh?

Yes, teammates will tell you what base to throw to, just in case you're not paying attention.

e.g.: Runner on 1B and there's a ground ball to third, if that's your best play they'll yell "two! two!" etc. The use of the controller speaker is actually a few years old (I suggested at one of the Community day events), and they have expanded the use of it even more this year.

Is there a way to adjust the volume on that controller speaker? I swear I have never heard anything come out of it...

***EDIT*** nevermind I googled it.. I can adjust the level in my PS4 setting fro devices... smh.. who knows how much stuff I have missed out on... geez. Excited to fire it up and play with my "new" controller that actually has sound come out of it...

I might have some spatial hearing loss. I often hear teammates saying things but I always thought it came from the TV.
