I was 3 games into my SF Giants franchise in Spring Training. Crawford comes up to bat and seems to be quite chatty with the catcher and at the end looks to smile and sort of laugh. Definitely did not see that in 17.

    Nice touch

Didn't previous years accurately depict Max Scherzer's heterochromia (two different colored eyes)? Looks like both his eyes are brown this year.

EDIT: Weird the eyes fixed themselves after a few innings.

I recall at Shea they would be deafening as you mention and would overpower the PA announcer. Citi Field was originally seeing lots of planes going overhead I noticed a few years ago they stopped considerably. I want to guess around 2014-2015 the planes stopped passing behind the scoreboard in center. They would get VERY low to the light rigs too and I'd cringe as they flew by when sitting on the first base line. Also from the Citi parking lots they fly right over the left field side of the stadium and you get that clear shot

I noticed this in last year's game. I think one of the last little things post in last year's thread was about this detail added. Good stuff

Playing in the rain. Lance Lynn takes off his hat and shakes the rain off of it. Then he takes the ball and wipes it on his pants.

Also announcers discussing whether the umpires should delay the game due to the weather.

Not sure if this was in past games, I never noticed anyways, but when waiting to hit the batter will lift his fingers off the bat to readjust his grip. Thought that was pretty cool cause I find myself doing that on my controller a lot lol

SP doing his sprints in the outfield pre-game (with his cap off).

The on-base celebrations for EVERY. SINGLE. HIT. have become extremely annoying and overblown.

There is no way Mookie Betts is doing a windmill Pete Townshend celebration towards his dugout on a single in the 6th inning down by eight runs.

Oh and by the way, the RedSox are not always in the first base dugout.

On away games, the goofiness is compounded exponentially when the player celebrates his "big" single, and points to the opposing dugout while celebrating.

Tweak it so that it happens in real "high-reward" situations, and then it will have some cool impact.

Otherwise, it is just plain irritating.

Yeah I hate it when baseball players have fun. I damn sure won't stand for it in my vidya game.

i just found this and its kind of weird. But if you select a Shiny helmet finish and look at the reflection, its actually a room, and it looks like a room that may have been used to maybe map a image of a real helmet.

                          A few things I've noticed:

                          1. The Yankees players will do the thumbs down when they get an extra base hit. Cool to see considering they started that celebration last year after the infamous thumbs down man at CitiField:

Coverage includes audio and video clips, interviews, statistics, schedules and exclusive stories.

                          2. It's nice to see that, for the most part, while oles were totally overdone last year, they only seem to happen this year on really hard hit balls. I've yet to see an ole on a routine grounder (though I have seen errors on routine grounders, which can be toned down with the sliders).

                          3. I noticed last year and I'm not actually sure if this is only for the Yankees or for everyone, but when you add certain SotS in the game, the crowd actually seems to do the roll call at Yankee Stadium, albeit only for certain players. For example, when the game first starts, if you have loaded the correct roll call audio, the fans at the top of the first inning will actually start the roll call for certain players. I didn't mention this last year but it did happen.

Attendance varies depending on outcome of a game. Blowout and fans will leave the game and the stadium will look empty. Nice work on this part of the game. Adds to the authenticity of the game.

Playing the Brewers who have Cody Ponce on their major league team. He's a rookie and Matt and Dan were talking about how well he did in the minors and how the Brewers are counting on him for the rotation this year.

                              Nicely done.

Most of this pertains to the postseason....

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but they've missed being able to add anyone off the 40 man roster to the playoff roster in franchise mode. It's still the old rule of having to be on the active roster or on the DL on Sept 1st to be eligiable for the postseason. This is small but should have easily been in the game by now.

Another thing that bugs me is the times of playoff games. For example, the Friday when there's 4 games for the Divisional Series round, every game is at night. They should have an early afternoon game, late afternoon, and two night games (West Coast game at 10et if applicable). Same thing in the League Championship Series. When both leagues are playing a game on the same day, they should have one game in the late afternoon and the other at night. Also need to add the Postseason/World Series patches on the uniforms.

These are small things (and could easily be fixed/added) but it adds to overall authenticity.
