For anyone concerned, when a runner steals (I saw you Ryne Sandberg) you can hear people/players yelling "he's going! he's going!"

May not be what everyone wants but there is at least some type of indication.

Only 0.1 innings into my first game since MLB 12 and I love it. Already I've seen an errant throw to first that pulled Freeman off the bag, CPU caught me napping in LF and stole a double, and I committed a balk which forced in a run lol. Oh and I just walked a guy. I'm rusty to say the least. Regardless of how bad I am right now, I'm blown away by the detail.

2 balks in one inning now. And I somehow escaped with only 1 run allowed. Wow.

My first impression is that I can hit the ball again. Thank God.

I just had a 20 pitch at bat. I was pitching.

          Pitcher: Bob Gibson
          Batter: Nolan Ryan????

Completely agree. I have to play a bit more, but so far it feels very similar to 17. Uniforms and colors do look improved, but idk if most would notice any differences outside of that.

It also feels a tad smoother. But im on a pro and last year felt good on a pro too.

Anyone else think that when pitching from outfield view that sometimes the cpu swings look "disjointed"?

I'm not really sure how to describe it. Almost like they are swinging underwater. They will appear to be a day early or a day late and the ball reacts differently than what you would expect.

              Hope that makes sense.

Looks pretty good....except for the all black traditional catcher masks on every team...really sticks out like a sore thumb to me...

I'm not hitting too many homeruns, but I did lower my human hitting timing to zero because I think hitting is a bit too easy to not get beat on a pitch. Even with Nolan Ryan throwing 97 mph fastball and 80 something change up, I was extremely rarely too early on an offspeed pitch and was always able to catch up to a fastball no matter what I was looking for.

Only played the install game, Dodgers @ Astros, but holy hell, the game looks and feels incredible.

Batting is spot-on. Hits feel more varied and it’s more fun to hit. I’m switching from Pulse Pitching to Analog Pitching this year, since Pulse doesn’t seem to give much variety (I hardly walk guys), and it’s super fun. It really makes you earn those strikes.

The PBR is nothing short of awesome. The reflections off the uniform lettering/numbering, the leather appearance of belts, and even some PBR at Minute Maid looks great too.

I’m satisfied with the new Game Resolution option now. No more wondering “what does this do?” Now, if you want a buttery smooth (for most of the time) framerate, rendering the game at 1080p (I’m on a 1080p display) looks and feels great. If you want better resolution, and not too much taken away from framerate, the 1440p option is there too. The 4K mode, while not entirely beneficial to me, personally, looks good but sacrifices a lot in terms of framerate. But those are the compromises you make with different graphic rendering modes. Excellent work SDS.

So stoked overall, and can’t wait for OSFM to start my franchise.

                          I have a standard PS4 , with a brand new 55”Tcl p605 4K tv.

The games runs smoothly, I haven’t seen any stuttering in the limited time I’ve played. Colors look good -everything is brighter, although I think the grass still looks too blue green at night.

Great to see bunting fixed? Sac bunts tun into double plays. Special.

A ton of pop ups. Too much focus on looks and still the”little things” aren’t right.

I haven't run into the issue of sac bunts turning into double plays. I've sac bunted 5 times or so purposely to check this out and each time it worked.

I appreciate all the great feedback in here guys. I'm echoing a request earlier wondering about playing on a standard 1080p TV NON PS4 Pro. There is a lot of great responses about graphics/colours, but would love to hear specifically from those who are playing standard HD non ps4 pro before I purchase. Thanks in advance.
