Except balanced doesn’t do much except add better shadow detail, and it takes away from framerate.

2K finally included the Expos uni's, and the Reds "Big Red Machine" era unis. That's all I ever wanted.

Game feels great, will post full impressions later...but...........

THEY NEED TO PATCH the Rocket BUNTS- I tried it out 9 times in a row- and every bunt was either a line drive to 3rd base, or a line drive to 2nd base, and i had one to the pitcher-

The bunting in 16'was great. thats my only gripe so far, everything else seems good

More quick impressions... So glad I grabbed this today.
The hitting/fielding is so spot on.

I can see pitches great..work the count and simply have a much better experience at the plate.

            EDIT:
1 issue is SOTS.. Middle of the 8th is listed twice (The 2nd one should obviously say Mid 9)

starters don't seem to last long at all in this game. Playing vs the Marlins, Strahm vs Urena. Both guys are almost gassed already in the 4th inning

Game is beautiful , love the Gary Sanchez scan!

Analog pitching still seems way too easy on legend and this is a huge downer

I really like that they added more batting camera angles. I liked the different strike zone ones. I like strike zone high as it's a little bit out and lets you see the rest of the field.

What I try to do is when the pitch is coming in I let go of the button and it takes perfect timing but you can lay down a soft bunt. This works for me and 17 I don't have 18 yet.

I haven't seen that. Did you adjust sliders?

I love the new fielding cameras for player lock and RTTS. Much easier to navigate the outfield now.

Is there a way to deaden it? Maybe I’m not doing something I should be.

First off if you are not bunting a low in the zone pitch a low rated bunter you will be screwed.
So for pitchers you are trying to attempt a sac bunt, get in the bunt stance early and pull away if the pitch is not down in the zone.

Also press down on the RS (6 oclock position) when bunting to give it a deadening effect.

Bunt ratings really matter, the pitch location matters and pressing down (if you want to angle it down left or down right 7 o’clock or 5 o’clock to drag it doen the lines respectively) on the RS.

And sometimes it still won’t work as bunting is not easy. But I have had success with great bunters and good bunters. Poorly rated bunters not so much.

It takes practice. And thank god it is not automatic like it was on previous versions (15,16). Now it takes stick skills, ratings and the right pitch.....like IRL.

I'm having the opposite. I haven't seen a Starter yet (7 games) go less then 7-8 innings. My played pitchers, I could have actually taken to complete games in all 7 of them. I am using All-Star and default settings.
