If you start a franchise on MLB '21 for the PS4 and then upgrade to the PS5, will the save file from the PS4 transfer to the PS5?

Apologize if been answered/mentioned/or is common knowledge.
I would think so...they're making a huge deal about crossplay.

But I have not seen them call that out explicitly.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

It comes down to ONE thing...they HAVE to change the core of the mode. And as CB already said...it comes down to roster expansion. Until THAT is done and all of the mode's systems are calibrated to work well with it, nothing else they do is going to matter. Virtually every "issue" with the current mode boils down to the incredibly limited 90-man rosters.

It's a HUGE "ask"; but until this is done, nothing else they do is going to truly move the needle.

It will take an overhaul of the core mode (franchise) coupled with the same level of awesome sauce with gameplay to move the needle. Agree 100%

Looking forward to finding out a lot more next month.

I'd happily sacrifice carry-over saves if it means we're getting Create-A-Ballpark.

Yea I’d happily sacrifice it too if there was the ability to create a expansion and use in franchise. Also 54 game season length would do it for me too.

I hope they change conquest to where it stays on the current team place you were rather than going all the way back to the beginning.

Prediction: If '21 isn't at least as good as '20 the forum will breakout into civil war with PS users blaming Xbox users for ruining everything. With a side helping if hate for the MLB for forcing multi-platform.

Especially as nowhere over here even stocks it so you can't even shop around, you are stuck with the ripoff price of digital download.
That is strange. I'm in the Netherlands, baseball is not a big sport here.
Here in the playstation store the usually charge around € 49,99 for the game, which should amount to 44 pounds.
You may want to try and get access to the Dutch psn store.

Not sure if this is answered yet but that’s most likely Home Run Derby only for more than 2 players.

It would just be a database which would (likely) be platform-agnostic so the actual save content itself isn’t so much an issue.

Cross-platform save limitations would start with the cloud services of Sony and Microsoft not communicating with each other. And since our PS offline save data is the ‘property’ (for lack of better word) of SCEA and not any individual developer they wouldn’t be able to do anything with it in-game without modifying TS20 to add an option to upload it to SDS servers to transfer to XBox.

                        Or something like that.

Game size was revealed on the XBOX preorder page: 70 GB for Series X/S (and probably PS5), 50 for XBOne (and probably PS4). 120 if you install both via Collectors Edition.

You can't be serious charging this much for the game here in Australia!!! go to hell!!!

Looks like I will have to use my fake US account and pay $70 US dollars which will equal about $95 Aust if I want to buy the game.. no way in hell am I paying that much for it. people whinging about $70 have a look at us poor people in Australia how much we are ripped off with games
