I am not thrilled with what I have seen so far and I am disappointed that there is no reason for me to create a stadium as an Offline DD Player.

BUT - That does not mean that I am not impressed with what I saw with the stadium creator, or that I have to be so focused on what I want that I can't appreciate that they are implementing a feature that has been at the top of the wish lists for so many others for so long.

They aren't just making the game for me. They are making it for millions of gamers.

So besides stadium creator there is nothing Nex-Gen? What a disappointment! No graphical upgrades, stadium details, cloth and hair dynamics, presentation upgrades?

In their video with the coach this afternoon, he mentioned textures upgraded ( stadium, grass and uniforms as well).

But instead of showing us they just can’t resist to talk about DD and their damn reveals.

On a more positive note, I was disappointed on how dull the fences look but near the end he said when you have most or dirt on fences they’ll move with it. So they can be enhanced which is good news.

Just rewatching the video on youtube to point some things out:

21:08 mark, stadium info shows stadium place and says "Major Metro". Don't know if this is like "suburbs" vs "city" or if it'd the default name for the park but is interesting, pretty sure it's just the name of the city probably. Also altitude, year and seat color are choosable from this menu, sweet. Wonder what limitations there are for altitude and how it'll affect the stadium.

22:03 mark, the Big A is in and looks higher quality than it ever has (since it's not visible on anything but pop-ups and flyballs in Angels Stadium). This works well to my making 1966 Angels Stadium

Couple seconds later you got placeable bridges. I kinda wanna make something with a bridge just beyond the field. Hit a homerun onto the bridge!

I noticed the homerun apple from Shea and Citi Field. I wonder if there are things we can make trigger when we hit a homerun?

It also seems like we can place props pretty far out. Around the 23:35 mark we can place a scoreboard on the surrounding rock formations.

Looks like mounds of grass/ground/dirt are placeable. Got everything on mounds of grass around the 23:50 mark.

Lettering is nice. Looks like different font types are available. At least blue standard font and then dinosaur bones least we can spell some stuff out. That won't get abused online at all.

Did notice that the distant scenery takes up storage (not too surprising). Looks like Red Rocks takes up the least while costal takes up the most? I think costal is the one with the amusement park pier thing so that might be why.

Anyone else pick anything else up?

There probably won't be any extreme "next gen" graphical improvements until they stop making current gen versions of the game as well.

Yea the "next gen reveal" turned into a "watch us play with the stadium editor" . I guess folks may have been right that this is the only next gen feature.

I would say “watch us play with outfield fences and bleachers”

What out playing the the dugouts, bullpens, grass, infield patterns ?

I don’t mind you do Stadium Creator only stream but do it right.

There's way more to this than the one in AO Tennis. I dunno about Cricket since I haven't played it (not sure if it's in there or not), but yeah. I think how it's set up is similar in terms of usability for sure. The sponsors and the color palette are what I would yoink from AO as well.

I didn't even realize AO Tennis was from them also. Cricket and Rugby have it. I was able to recreate the Orange Bowl pretty accurately around 5ish years ago with the rugby one.

I think that's it. This will be on my wishlist for next year, including more on concourses, lawns, out-of-play walls (kind of in tandem with the bullpen idea), slanted sections, etc. There is just so much more that this creator can do to fill out what we'd kind of "need," heh.

I'm just glad not all seats will be blue, lol.

My urgency to secure a PS5 has again lessened after this stream. I know there are graphical and performance enhancements with the PS5 over the PS4, but nothing in regards to only next gen features, moves the needle for me to want to play the PS5 version.

Stadium creator is amazing, but its not a feature that I'm anxiously awaiting to play/use.

I need the Kirby presentation stream - his team has done such a great job iterating over the years and i would have to think they brought over a lot of the great elements from last year as well as some new stuff.

Shoot! I guess there is absolutely no way we’re going to get a confirmation that we can carry over a ROSTER? Maybe they’ve taken rosters out of the game (just kidding), but full roster accurracy is sort of important.

It totally lacked what the game is going to look like. The PRO on the PS5 looks beautiful. It’s hard to convince someone as the video uploads to Youtube just don’t cut it. Maybe that’s the reason. But, they might have given a caveat in that regard, but nothing. Not even a bone.
