Does anybody know if they mentioned anything about sounds of the show for next gen?
Wondering if that is still in there.

Sorry fella, They mention nearly zero features for next gen. You can build a stadium and your controller will rumble differently on ps5. That is it.

I would've loved to be able to edit existing stadiums but I understand why that's not an option.

Are you kidding me with this so called "Next Gen" feature premiere?

This was nothing more then just showing us how to use Stadium Creator.

And instead of showing us some cool graphic upgrades for next gen instead they waste time talking about the boring Diamond Dynasty mode!

Seems to me MLB The Show 21 Next gen will be nothing more then a slightly enhanced version with a few cool new features like Stadium Creator and the new controller features.

Nothing at all like what 2K has done with there next gen basketball game.

Yep this is truly sad!!!!!!

I am just mad at myself for expecting to see the kind of graphic upgrades in MLB The Show that NBA2K or even madden and Fifa hit with their next gen version.

Also how can a 3rd partly company give their games a big graphic upgrade for next gen while first party can't?

There has definitely been a shift in culture, creative vision, and attitude toward the game from the SCEA team compared to 10 years ago. It may have to do with a change in upper management, or maybe pressure from MLB on what they envision for the game. But regardless everything from marketing strategy to feature development is different now.

And not that it is better or worse now but a lot of people here I think proffered their old way of working (more focus on details and under promise over deliver).

Every company changes over time and at the end of the day, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep making a profit.

I hear ya. I wasn't really expecting to be Wow'd necessarily by graphic improvements given their past transition to next gen. I have notice they have sneeked in brief clips of real next gen gameplay in a few videos (the dirt is the give away, it looks more detailed and looks to show slide and track marks on it)

but at the very least talk about what has been done, obviously improvements were made here and there. I just would if liked to hear about it in better detail than a quick mention on a teaser trailer for the stream..

How about a glimpse of these "new intros," "detailed stadiums/environments," and describe how the 3D audio is immersive for the game?

I just don't get how these are next gen features, but they don't discuss them in this stream. It makes no sense. I get wanting people to be excited when you load the game but, but zero discussion on these?

They clearly have a new scorebug as well....how about discussing the new presentation elements in the game?

Exactly! All of this stuff above, even spending a few minutes on each, would have been awesome. I guess we will get user reviews soon enough... but the detailed environments would have been great to see.

Agreed. Definitely a misleading feature premier title. Not what was advertised, and if they made a decision late to change they should have communicated it.

Many reasons why but no one wants to hear them and if I did list them, I would just be told "that is no excuse", though.. it is legit reasons, but many do not understand how any of this works and sets themselves up for disappointment. This is the state of gaming right now. (Keep in mind, I would have liked to see more improvements, but this whole "graphics" thing is funny as hell. If they did a huge leap in graphics but didn't improve gameplay/add stadium creator, yall would just raise hell about that.. "Same game just looks better", it never ends lol)

I couldn't agree with you more when you try to make your points or state the case as to reasons why. Thats why I see inclusion of the Xbox as a huge positive. More players, more money. With more income they can expand their team and resources, acquire new talent, the list goes on and on.

Definitely disappointing this was all Stadium Creator and not really much next gen stuff...oh well, it'll still be fun to play in a week or so

Anyone else read it like he was shouting?

Anyway, I'm just hoping that they do continue improving Stadium Creator in years to come. I will happily accept resources used on that front if they can build more toward "being able to build a park as creatively as real MLB parks."

I don't know if we can truly ever get there, but one massive start would be putting bullpens behind outfield walls. Heck, there are a lot of things regarding outfield walls that still need to be addressed, though they probably got the most difficult one out of the way in being able pretty much adjust the walls however you see fit.
