Its nothing ground breaking, but the new presentation changes within franchise mode are nice.

        PS4 Pro Impressions

        - Loving the gameplay. Hitting seems harder in my 2 games that I’ve played. Usually play HOF w/ zone but barely got any hits. Think I’m gonna drop to AS and see how that plays.

        - enjoying pinpoint pitching. Challenging but rewarding.

        - The transition animations in the outfield for when a player is approaching a grounder/fly all are an improvement.

        - player faces look better and the equipment is an improvement. Everything seems to look more polished from last year.

        - Did have a bug when playing at Fenway. A. Gimenez hit a HR down the RF fouls line. Switched to HR cam and looked like it was drifting foul. Ended up being a HR. Wasn’t convinced it was fair by my eyes so went to instant replay and sure enough, the ball went about a foot foul from the outside of the foul pole. There was no replay review or anything and it counted as a run even though it was definitely foul.

Otherwise, planning to get more games in and dig a little deeper on gameplay.

Yeah forgot to mention Chang and Rosario. Rosario I can kinda understand since they moved him to CF late. But Chang should be able to play 1B.

And yeah, Bieber looks terrible. His hair looks gray.

Guys.. I do not care if you are sim/competitive style player.. give pin point pitching a try.

It has added a new dynamic to this game and a breath of fresh air.. I am getting walks and it is my fault, no need to crank sliders just to get walks. Man, is it fun!

I am a clean screen, pure sim player and I am IN LOVE with pin point. Don't be scared of the user element if you have not tried it. When you get that strikeout on a perfect pitch, it feels so DAMN good.

Crowd noise is greatly improved. They get louder during the later innings which is great to see. The CPU loaded the bases on me with 1 out and the next batter hit a slow grounder to second base and the crowd started to swell as he started the throw for the double play and then exploded when I was able to turn it to get out of the inning. It was a cool moment.

Unscientific observation but it seems the reviews in the thread are 60-70% negative. Oh there are some things that got slight improvements on the field, but overall this is a disappointment.

I'll keep checking reviews but so far glad I saved my money and am sticking with 20.

Screen swipes, how information is displayed/presented.

Like I said, nothing ground breaking, but the very subtle changes make it feel fresh.

I haven't had time to play yet but I did go into remote play last night on PS5 to get my settings done so I can jump right in when I am able to play. Anyway, in the sound option screen it looked like there was an option to turn off sideline reporter. Based on what I read on the option it sounded like she talks pre-game but anything in between innings can get turned off. I was actually going to test this to see if that's indeed what it does.

I can't listen to her say "flat out" one more time.

I dunno, ive been pretty hard on this game in the past but personally I'd give 21 a real high score. To me its the best version yet.

Its perspective though. A lot of things people are finding that they don't like, I never noticed and honestly its cause I don't really care. In no way am I saying they shouldn't matter it just doesn't to me.

The gameplay was always good to great but the game had been getting real stale for me for a number of years. The new fielding track ball option adds depth to fielding and pin point pitching is phenomenal. That alone makes this version an all time classic for me.

Year to year saves, SOTS, contract issues, roster issues, etc... I wish could be there or better but at the end of the day this plays an amazing game of baseball and I'm finally really engaged which has been awhile.

So I guess it depends on what you prioritize as the game being good. Nothing wrong with that. Personally I'm ecstatic.

                              I couldn't agree more man!

Gameplay wise on ps5 , this games is leaps and bounds above 20 in every way man. And I think we need to realized this when we bash SDS because NBA 2k is literally unplayable because of the defense. Madden took 6 months to fix the ability for the CPU to effectively guard a slant route.

ID like them to fix Franchise things as much as the next man but I can 30 team micromanage if I'm getting this level of gameplay.

And Cujo, are we getting sliders from ya ?? I know you're always in the trenches.

Tried bunting. Nice, the ball died in the dirt on the 3rd base line.

Too close to the catcher though so I was still out.

                                But no rocket bunt!!!
