I was playing an NL game. In extra innings the pitchers spot came up and I had a reliever in. I wanted to bunt in the situation. The reliever I had was 0's across the board, and I couldn't afford to burn a pinch hitter.

I had a long reliever (converted starter) warmed up with a better stats and a couple starting pitchers with okay hitting ratings. In real life, a manager may have ran out a starting pitcher to lay down the bunt. I eventually just let the reliever drop the bunt.

How should have I handled that in the game? I think in MLB the Show 20 I got stuck using the pitcher I inserted to bunt. Has that been fixed? And if I insert a reliever as a pinch hitter, would there be any penalty to having brought in the reliever

Extra inning game and I lose in the 11th but the pitcher from the 9th takes the lose. That’s not how the game should be scored right?

Game update #8 was released on May 15th 2021.


We have no idea when the next one is coming.

How can I tell if someone is cheating during a Diamond Dynasty game?


He was hitting nearly perfect and homeruns on almost every pitch I threw no matter the location.



Is it that he is just that good? If so, why is he playing in a low level?

Yes for sure during spring and I think there’s another window later in the year too but don’t quote me.

During spring and during the contract extension phase after the all-star break. You can only do extensions through the franchise front page.

Just an FYI CPU teams cannot do extensions (you can use 30 team control to change that though). Also, there is a minor bug with extensions in 20 that I'd assume is still in 21 where when you extend a player the stat overlays start saying they were acquired that year through free agency.

Is there a way to replace minor league teams with a created team or even play as a created team in Exhibition?

Last year we could create home and away uniforms but we couldn't use SDS uniforms they offered.
Has that changed? Hopefully all uniforms will be included with created uniforms.
I created several uniforms including Brooklyn Dodgers and the Milwaukee Braves unfortunately they didn't include " Brooklyn Dodgers " together instead they only announced Brooklyn or Dodgers the.
Little things but they mean alot

This might be a silly question. If Bauer gets taken out of the season due to personal legal issues, will they remove him from The Show as well? Will he always be there for default rosters?

I am playing with the Braves and Ozuna is still here. He has a newer Topp Card when you pull up his stats. Now this using the Ridin Roster set from May.

What is the best way to get a bullpen arm ready in franchise mode? I usually start with “stretch and toss” and then after a batter switch to “warm up” and then as soon as it’s available I move them to “ready and waiting.” Problem I have is sometimes that works great other times a fully rested reliever will enter the game with half stamina and I don’t get that when I make sure to not over warm them up. Does anyone know how to fix this?
