What is the best way to get a bullpen arm ready in franchise mode? I usually start with “stretch and toss” and then after a batter switch to “warm up” and then as soon as it’s available I move them to “ready and waiting.” Problem I have is sometimes that works great other times a fully rested reliever will enter the game with half stamina and I don’t get that when I make sure to not over warm them up. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I rarely use stretch and toss. Mostly just warm up 1 or 2 guys, then either bring em in or sit em down. Sometimes I'll use ready and waiting if he's been warming up for a while.

Hey, does anyone here actually focus on the coaches for Franchise Mode? I have been doing some testing lately as best I can and all I can say is that the coaches stat boosts really don't mirror what they're actually supposed to give during in-game gameplay. I took Jose Iglesias for example. He has 30 Plate Discipline before I enter a game. I have Joe Maddon as my manager who gives +3 Plate Discipline. I have Izaiah Fay who gives a -3 Plate Discipline. When I go into the game and check to see Iglesias' stat, the discipline stat shouldn't be buffed or nerfed but it shows that he has +3 Discipline is at 33 now. I'm wondering how the heck does +3 and -3 still give you 3. I think the coaches stat boosts are either bugged or there are hidden boosts that San Diego Studios doesn't show us when selecting coaches. Can anyone give more insight on this? Thank you

Retro mode

Is there a way to see the batters name or pitchers name while playing retro mode? I can't seem to figure it out

During spring and during the contract extension phase after the all-star break. You can only do extensions through the franchise front page.

Just an FYI CPU teams cannot do extensions (you can use 30 team control to change that though). Also, there is a minor bug with extensions in 20 that I'd assume is still in 21 where when you extend a player the stat overlays start saying they were acquired that year through free agency.

Do you know if that includes during the off season? They do sign pending free agents during the 5 day period (Cubs signed Bryant for 3 more years) but do you know if they sign players who are not pending free agents?

What happened to the nice "crack of the bat" sound on Perfect/Perfects? It was really nice in 20...sounds very muted in 21.

I had control of the Jersey numbers last year even in franchise this year not so much no control at all Yogi Berra's number 8 is good in class A until you bring him up to MLB then his number changes to 28.
After almost a decade I wish I could ignore this pie in the face but I can't.

I’m a little lost with the Theme options. The show theme vs. The MLB theme. I Cpu vs Cpu games

The Show theme allows me to see the pitch type and pitch speed which I love…however the batter stats are my problem…I alike to see when the batter comes up the tag line of (Batting Avg- Hr- RBI’s)..the show theme does not show this…I’m only 4 games into the season I’m wondering if this will change.

The MLB theme does show the tag line (Batting Avg-Hr-RBI’s) but it does not allow you to see pitch speed or pitch type…
Any help..is appreciated

Nothing to help, they are just different like that. I agree both have strengths and weaknesses but that’s just how they are.

Are Trade Waivers gone?

I tried to trade after the deadline but the trade menu is locked and there's no option to add players to trade waivers.

Yes

MLB eliminated trade waivers a couple of seasons ago.
