But It is a video game. Its pretty much a certainty that if this trade was made once, it is going to be a consistent thing. Its not as if the logic is designed with 30 different gm brains and they are capable of making mistakes or bad decisions.

The game not properly valuing prospects and having teams trade their future, cost controlled, stars for a middling middle IF has always been an issue.

As someone who loves prospecting, and collecting prospect baseball cards, this looks really good to me. I can see myself spending a lot of time with this.

Overall I'm pretty happy with everything shown today.

Yes it’s a video game and people want trade logic to be perfect and realistic when trade logic in real life isn’t perfect or by video game standards “realistic “

I totally get it. I feel like the trade is horrible but I do all trades manually because I don't find the trade logic in any sports video game to be too intuitive.

I am more concerned with not have to set every teams lineup and manage every teams bullpen lol

If he’s healthy, the Phillies could probably get just about anybody they wanted for Painter. Dealing him for Jake Cronenworth would be an awful return that would get Dave Dombrowski run out of Philly quicker than Carson Wentz.

Is this really necessary? Just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean it doesn't matter. If you're happy with outdated graphics then more power to you, it's not going to change anyone else's opinion on the matter.

Is it really necessary to throw in the jab of “happy with outdated graphics” as if he’s inferior because it doesn’t bother him?

I didn’t get to watch. Anything in A level ball rosters or on updates in game like a tv show? Someone mentioned that earlier in a different thread.

Coming form 21, not having played 22, looking forward to 23 after that. Think that video solidifies that I won't be doing a A's franchise with a custom stadium. Looks like there will be too many little things missed if not in a MLB stadium. I refuse to play in the Coliseum. LOL

So now to decide who to use instead. My local Reds suck...so that'd be a good rebuild. But played with them in 21. So may choose another bottom 5 team.

Re: discussion of the Painter trade people saw, we don’t know how Painter is rated in the game. It’s really hard to compare to real life without that.

I also think in general people overrate prospects generally in these complaints (because people love overrating prospects). There are issues in The Show, especially in how teams decide what kind of assets to move when, but I think unproven but sexy prospects being moved for merely decent but proven veterans isn’t unrealistic.

Heck, if anything Painter for Cronenworth straight up is an improvement on what we’ve often seen in franchise mode. In the past the Phillies would have added two B prospects to that deal! (Joking)

Franchise I couldn't care less.. I'm more of one season player.

Love the new presentation from what I can see, but I definitely think they could rework the graphics. Long hair are so stiff while most new games, hair moves as they move. Would be nice seeing something like that instead of having everything frozen solid. It's time lol.
