Just a quick update. 22-14 with the cubs. I have sent down Christopher Morel who has struggled with men on base and called up a top prospect in Brennen Davis who was hitting .280 in AAA. With Wisdom hitting .320 and Rios finding his stride and also Madrigal heating up Morel was seeing less play time he was sent down to get consistent at bats. In his major league debut in Wrigley against the hated Cardinals Davis went 1 for 3 with an RBI single.

Edit: well my saved data didn’t sync so Davis now went 0-4 in his debut still a win over the cards tho

The Tampa Bay Rays started the season with a 3 game road trip to Miami.

Series Pitching Matchup

McClanahan vs Alcantra
Rasmussen vs Luzardo
Glasnow vs Cueto

McClanahan was able to go the distance in Game 1 of the campaign. Striking out 5, and allowing 4 hits. The Rays were able to knock Alcantra out of the game after 4.1 innings with a 5 run top of the 5th lead by a 3 run homer by Brandon Lowe. 8-0 Rays

Arozarena took the first pitch of the game out of the park and the Rays didn't slow down afterwards. They were able to hang 6 runs to wink 6-2

Game 3 went the same way the first two, with the Rays getting on base in abundance. 13 hits for the team, but they were only able to get in 4 runs to win 4-2.

The Rays (3-0) head to Fenway to play a 3 game series with the Red Sox(0-3)

Notable Series Stats
All 3 Starting Pitchers got the wins
Wander Franco(2) went yard 2 times in the game 2 win.
No Marlins started made it out of the 6th inning
The Rays out hit the Marlins 26-14, while outscoring them 17-4

Yea part of me wanted to wait, but honestly I just needed to get into it and start a chise. I really am trying hard to keep 1 and roll with it all year. So far so good, Sasaki is a monster for me. I'll post a month update at the end of April but so far so good

In my Mariners franchise we have just finished May. It was a crazy month where both J.Rodriguez and J. Kelenic went down with injuries that put them out for multiple months.

Somehow we are managing to hang tough in the ultra competitive AL West. Check out my May recap video here.

Thanks all I am also going to run a Royals franchise as well and see which one grabs me. I keep trying to decide a team built to win now or a team that i can built so when it wins its special. Figure if I try both one should take off. Royals report to come soon.

At the end of May the Beavers sit at 27-29 still playing good baseball but definitely came back to earth They are 11 games out of first place behind the Yankees and still in the Wild card mix. The division is the Yankees to lose right now and who knows about the Wild card with a lot of teams still in contention.

Offensive Studs:
Willians Astudillo has been leading the way in avg hitting.292 while Tim Beckham has 11 Home runs. Drew Jackson and Dee Strange Gordon have also been solid.

Offensive Duds:
All the Outfield spots besides Dee are still struggling. We acquired Monte Harrison from the Brewers to put in left field so we shall see how that goes. Mazara has been better of late and the bench hasn't done much of anything.

Pitching Studs:
Michael Pineda surprisingly has been my best pitcher, he's down to a 2.57 Era 4-4 in 63 innings. Mills and Archer have regressed a little but still have decent starts. We moved Daniel Mengden into the rotation and he's been okay so far. Called up Drew Rom at the end of the month and had 11 ks against the Guardians. Maybe we found something who knows.

Pitching Duds:
Rotation is stable for now, In the pen Brault is there now In the long relief. Besides that it's been okay as well.

Injuries:
Still nothing big

Transactions:
Optioned Jaxx Groshans to Triple A and called up Anthony benboom. Claimed Jose Hernandez from the Pirates and sent him to Double A. Claimed Jose Herrera from the Diamondbacks sent him to Double A. Optioned Jorge Acala to Triple A and called up Drew Smith. Claimed Corey Abbott from the Nationals and sent him to Triple A.

Trades:
Traded Zack Britton to the Brewers for Monte Harrison. The Brewers acquired Harrison Bader from the Yankees and had a log jam in the Outfield.

Looking forward to the draft coming up soon, and will keep looking to improve the team. Definitely trending to being sellers at the deadline.

Pitching Duds:
My 4-5 guys Jace Vines and Steven Brault have not been good and will be looking to improve there.

Injuries:
Nothing so far..

Transactions:
Claimed Michael Rucker from the Cubs currently in Double A. We traded Andrelton Simmons to the Twins for Jorge Acala to. Called up Cadyn Grenier and optioned Robert Stock. Claimed Dauri Moreta from the Pirates. Optioned Nick Banks and called up Justin Williams. Claimed Isan Diaz from the Giants. Traded Robert Stock to the Mets for Drew Smith.

I hope to keep improving and seeing who's going to stick around. There will definitely be more moving parts this month as well.

Very frustrating as a Mets fan to play as the Mets in the Show this year. Verlander, Scherzer, Quintana, Canha, Escobar ... anyone older than 34 really, just ... drops about 10 overall points each. By years end, Scherzer was a 80 and Verlander a 82. They both still had sub 3 ERAs in the regular season but got shelled in the postseason. Not sure what to do with these contracts now. They're gonna be a tough team to use.

Oh and the Royals traded Melendez and Witt at the Deadline just because they were out of the playoff picture. Interesting start to Franchise this year.

I like the scouting though! Much more fun and immersive.

New scotluting is great so far! I've been cranking away at games in my franchise and I'm nearing the draft.

I have picks #22 & #31 with the Mariners. I have about 5 guys on my board I would love to draft and if all falls right I could wind up with all of them.

Who should I take first? I made a draft preview video going over the potential prospects. I need to hit big on this draft and build this Mariners farm up! Drafting tonight.

Diamondbacks(14-12) bounce back, take final two from Royals(12-13)

The Dbacks are now two games above .500, and sit tied atop the NL West with the Padres. For the first series this season, the bats mostly struggled but the pitching on both teams was fantastic and made this a very competitive series.

Game 1 started off exactly how you wouldn’t want. Nelson gave up 5 in the first three innings to put the Dbacks in an early hole. The Dbacks would claw their way back in the 5th to tie but ultimately would give up one more in the eighth to seal it for the Royals to take it, 6-5.

Arizona got back on track in Game 2, with MadBum once again being brilliant as he went 7 giving up 4 hits, 1 walk, and no runs. He also struck out 7 to improve his record to 4-0. Meanwhile he wasn’t the only Dbacks with a big game, Nick Ahmed, the lifelong Diamondback drove in all 4 runs for the Dbacks, with 3 of them coming on his first home run of the season. Dbacks win, 4-0.

This one was a pitchers duel? On paper it looked like Gallen would dominate while Keller would struggle. However this one started far different, as Gallen gave up 2 in his first innings, but would settle in and last 7. With 108 pitches, 9 Ks, and somehow a win... Keller did not pitch bad by any means, as he pitched 7 shutout innings by keeping Dbacks hitters guessing. His fate would change in the 7th however, as Gurriel Jr. and Walker went back to back to tie the game and chase Keller from the game. Two outs later, Nick Ahmed also went deep to give the Dbacks the 3-2. It would be enough for Mantiply come in and shut it down in the ninth, which game the Dbacks the series win.

The Dbacks now get a day off, and travel to face the Rockies(7-19) to face them for the first time this season with a 3 game set to end the month of April. They will definitely be looking to capitilize upon a team which has struggling to win so far this season, and look to put up some major runs up at mile high.
