Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
I think they should have the option to play a non-gender conforming player or one who isn't straight. That would make for a legitimately interesting RTTS if directed by the right people.Comment

Try to enjoy yours as well! Look at it this way, maybe the Feature stream on Thursday may actually show improvements to RTTS instead of just name dropping the cast of "League of their Own" for an hour.Comment

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
Wow. This year has been one of the worst post game launches I have seen as far as grumbling over the game.
No doubt that we have had little information on anything but that is the path SDS has chosen.
We get what we get, you either buy or you don’t. It’s really that simple.
I fully prepared to continue my 23 franchise and my 20 historical franchise.
If the reviews are good for 24 from folks on these forums that I feel want a game like I would want then I will buy it.
If not then I won’t.🇺🇸 58,281 🇺🇸Comment

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
I wouldn't mind a "female league" option. That would be cool. But, seeing as they haven't done anything to make a way to play the Negro Leagues in a league mode, I doubt that it will happen anytime soon. Storylines/RTTS/etc are cool, but just not for me. I'd rather play actual games in a league setting.Comment

Neither was a great player but doing something in the Storylines mode with Glenn Burke or Billy Bean could be interesting.Comment

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
More power to all the girls and woman who love the sport but I must say…for the people that just want to play real life 2024 baseball there has been nothing to be excited about besides maybe moving hair.
Baseball has a great history and its good they are telling the negro league story and what not with Jeter moments.
But if you look at it from the perspective of players that just want the most authentic baseball sim experience all these storylines driven moments from the past or the ability to play as a woman does nothing for them.
Gameplay is mostly the same, graphics are the same and well at this moment I’m not expecting anything groundbreaking from the rest of the modes.
I might not buy for the first time since 2008 and I never thought I would ever say that because I love this game but 23 seems pretty solid for another year."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
I said this a few weeks ago and was met with vitriol and contempt.
Marketing 101 = you promote your new additions in an attempt to get The consumer to buy your product.
They marketed Storylines. They marketed negro leagues. They are now marketing women players in RTTS. You market things that have improvements. They haven't marketed gameplay. They haven't marketed graphics. They haven't marketed franchise. They haven't even marketed DD. Why? Because the improvements to those things are either non-existent or too inconsequential to move the needle. You can't market gameplay if it hasn't changed because you'll be met with resistance.
For those of you hoping for some last minute information about gameplay and franchise, think again. There simply isn't enough to market.
And for those of us hoping that they've already started focusing their efforts for next year's release on huge graphical and gameplay enhancements, don't hold your breath. If they did, they probably would've hinted at it. They haven't. They know they have your money already. The dream is over.

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24 - RTTS BLOG AND TRAILER - WOMEN PAVE THEIR WAY
Regarding the assumption we should just assume they won’t be in franchise which I think is at least something everyone agrees with to a degree.
I just share the cautionary tale (for those of you that don’t play golf games) of 2K golf.
We had this identical (albeit quite a bit more civil) conversation with that game when they announced female golfers were being added to the game.
We all assumed they would be used in the various other modes the game offered but would not show up in our career mode. That didn’t happen and they were playing in all tours alongside with us.

Maybe if some roster creators could make fictional rosters that are all female, and have a whole rebranded league. That would be really neat.Comment
