I wish MLB the Show was like OOTP and I could go back and remove the color-barrier from the start.




I just want to see what Satchel Paige, Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson, Cool Papa Bell, Martin Dihigo, ect. ect. ect. might have done if the MLB had included everybody.




I also really want to start in 1886 or 1900 or whatever and be able to play with real draft classes.

I wish as many people would complain about playable celebrities with no athletic talent in NBA2K.

They have playable celebrities in nba 2k? Like official or fan made roster?

Regarding the assumption we should just assume they won’t be in franchise which I think is at least something everyone agrees with to a degree.

I just share the cautionary tale (for those of you that don’t play golf games) of 2K golf.

We had this identical (albeit quite a bit more civil) conversation with that game when they announced female golfers were being added to the game.

We all assumed they would be used in the various other modes the game offered but would not show up in our career mode. That didn’t happen and they were playing in all tours alongside with us.

NBA, NHL, and soccer games have had female players and teams for several years now that are completely separate and optional for simulation offline modes.

There is the Crossover series of cards in the NBA2K series. Playable in My Team at least.

I know i'll be a broken record but I hope with women paving the way, the new female Front office and coaches are in the game so they can enhance franchise mode to a more realistic game mode.

Lots of stuff said I won't touch on. I am just trying to think, and I am not just speaking on operations sports, even on X (Twitter) whatever, Facebook, the show boards, this is by far the most upset I have seen the show community in a long time. I was trying to think back over the years. I cannot really remember the last time people were this upset all over the internet. For me I guess i am like the kid at Disney seeing a ride for the first time. We still have 10 days before early release, and I hope they surprise us. I HAVE FAITH IN YOU SDS.

If you follow MLB’s instagram page you’ll see that when The Show announced Negro League storylines the MLB page had a lot of posts regarding Negro League as well. Today I’ve already seen a couple posts about women in baseball.
Perhaps these modes are being pushed by MLB and not the developers.

i think MLB has taken a bigger role over the years marketing the game and also pretty sure they were the reason it started coming out on Xbox

Very dope on the inclusion, I hope there is more that people have been asking for and clamoring on.

They could add in an option (for those that want it) to have fictional female characters in franchise. and also to make sure those that want it to the reflect real MLB, to do so.

The Show has become much more of a marketing asset for MLB recently and the Xbox/Switch movie was a big part of it. That’s definitely a component of this addition.

While I do agree that the MLB is definitely pushing certain things, I can't even fathom them pushing a feature such as women in the game when the total number of women to ever show up in a real life MLB game remains at 0.

I hope many of the people here don’t run a business. Let’s just say the women who play this game right now are a small percentage, adding in this feature will grow their user base. Their responsibility is to grow the business where they can.

That being said, I do wish they would fix the glaring issues in RTTS and Franchise first. However I understand why they would add in this feature now in order to continue to grow the base and get in a load of new potential customers. I just hope it means we’ll see meaningful upgrades in future years since they’ll need to keep their user base happy and fresh, both new and old.

Yea another mode or part of a mode I won't play but I'm OK with the addition. That being said I hope there are far greater game related improvements outside storylines.

(Modes I don't play : Retro mode, online DD)

I'm all for adding new things like this, expanding negro league, ect as long as you are not just maintaining thr current major modes like franchise or rtts.
