I've always been auto fielding to make ratings play the biggest part, this year I've gone auto fielding and auto throwing.

No blue circle of hell, just clean screen and beautiful animations.

You should try it.

Might sound dumb, but how does auto throwing work?

The last 3 or 4 years, it took me awhile hear the bat sounds the way I expect and want them to sound. It's possible even probable this is more to do with my hearing and nothing on Sony. But still, just glad I can enjoy them straight away this year.

I have a real chance at completing all the trophies. I didn't notice any related to Diamond Dynasty or online and I can't remember the last time that happened. I already completed 26% of trophies just in that Texas Arizona game you play while waiting for the game to install.

I think the game is super solid this year

It cannot be said enough how much of a difference the change to fielder urgency improves and impacts this game on the field, and for the better I might add.

I’m seeing close plays at the bases that last year would have been no contest.

Also seems the balance between success and failure when diving for the ball has been tuned. Diving feels better this year.

I like the Show theme but would have loved it being a 3rd one and keeping the 23 show theme. I do like the new regional theme better than the 23 regional theme.

I really like the prospect updates across the league in the scrolling marquee thing on the bottom. It shows what their stats are so far. It will also say between AA/AAA.

Today I noticed the stamina difference, S. Bieber was pitching against me. 7th inning had 102 pitches, but still had the green stamina. It was a 3-2 game Indians were up. But he gave up a walk and single and he was pulled even while still being in the green zone on stamina. The next 3 inning the bullpen was used pretty decently. Idk, might be a placebo.
I feel like last year pitchers were taken out until they were getting rocked, this seemed better managed.

It's just a setting in the options. You don't throw, the player throws for you.

Let's say there are runners on 1st and 3rd with nobody out. Will it default to a dbl play on a ground ball or will it fire home to prevent a run?

How about when SDS adds new face scans to players. Your existing franchise roster gets the updated scan instead of having to restart it all over! Community Feature #1 you guys know you want it!

Let's say there are runners on 1st and 3rd with nobody out. Will it default to a dbl play on a ground ball or will it fire home to prevent a run?

Depends where the ball is hit and what inning and situation, but most times it will go for the double play

Jumped right into road to the show, once I waited several hours to get on the server without getting booted. The draft combine is pretty neat. Got drafted 7th round by the Cubs.. but the commentary is pretty bad. Not his delivery or even style but accuracy. I had 3 singles and at my 4th at bat he said "he's already got 3 Homer's today". Then after a 3 for 4 game he said "he did alright but he will want to do better in the future. " as for the graphics, when your RTTS character is "speaking " during the phone sessions with the agent, you can see the white wall through the back side of his mouth. Detracts from an otherwise nice looking game.

Ok played a bunch more and he repeated the 3 Homer comment when I had 3 singles, referred to my male player as "she" and then called my first AA home run, a 2 run home when it was a grand slam! Don't think I ever heard this many wildly wrong comments in so few games before.

My only complaint is I had one bug where I thought it was going to be a Homer but the ball died at the track but Jose Sirri literally teleported about 50 feet and caught it. Only serious bug I’ve seen and it only happened once.

24 is great.

The AAA and AA all star games have been removed from franchise this year.

As they should as those levels no longer have a mid season all star game

Enjoying it so far, though Show CPU Suggestions is currently broken.

You'll see the Pitch Com animation whether switched On or Off, and just the Location is added when On. (No fingers, or Pitch Com feedback.)
