You'll see the Pitch Com animation whether switched On or Off, and just the Location is added when On. (No fingers, or Pitch Com feedback.)

PS. Though I've always suspected that Catcher suggestions are mostly random anyway...

They fixed uniform selection in franchise

Example Cardinals wear powered blues on Saturday road games and last year you had to manually choose them, but this year it’s back to automatic

The Pitch Clock is a great addition for real baseball, but not so much for the virtual version, is my rapid conclusion.

I've switched it off (because, we're in our homes, we walk away, you'll miss those cheesy between-pitch animations, etc..).

Though if you choose to keep it switched on, you can hold down RT to freeze it.

It only impacts the human player anyway, as expected. I never waste that much time anyway since I usually just pick a pitch and throw. There is a setting for CPU pitchers to speed up or take their time, but that doesn’t seem to impact anything right now.

I think the largest change is the disengagement rule. It lets you know how many chances you have left when you step off or throw to a base. Not sure if the chance of a CPU steal goes up after the second disengagement though (haven’t seen it yet).

I don’t know what it says about the game but it’s been available about 26 hours. I’ve been playing for 20

I like the game so far, but hearing "Let's go Braves" from the crowd over and over and over and over and over and over... during every home game is getting old quick.

Ya I noticed the chants go on forever watching a few games on YouTube.. really strange design choices. What sounds great at first can quickly sound poor if the execution is questionable.

My personal issue with the crowd drowning out the commentary has been resolved with a simple audio change.

Changed from whatever default is called to tv broadcast and it’s now perfectly blended.

                    Options what a beautiful concept

Coming from any version earlier than 21: Will seem like a good buy or just buy 23 at a discount.

Coming from 23 looking for a lot of legacy change and a huge jump: Save your money.

Xbox vs Ps5 Xbox has a slightly sharper image only noticable if you have been playing the game for multiple iterations.

Waiting on Next Gen Consoles Might be a good idea to come back to the series then. Same running animations for the last 5-10 years, Zero stadium lighting and atmosphere effects, do you guys remember when they tried to add fog lol what happened to it. Zero uniform physics updates, Zero lighting updates to player models. The graphics are not completely trash, they just look dated along with what ever animation limb rigs they are using.

                            Kicking in my two cents...

                            Pros
                            > Gameplay - very fun, authentic experience. The game I played was very competitive
and went back and forth. In my opinion (and experiences) MLB The Show
delivers the best on-field sports gaming experience.

                            > New Ball Park Sounds - love this addition as it adds to the in-game immersion.

                            > Little Things - new score bug, drone cam, new fan signs, new home run messages on the
                            scoreboards, more stadium exteriors

                            Cons
< Graphics - this needs to be the priority focus for the SDS team this coming year into
next. Give that one developer who is in charge of all the graphics and
presentation more people and more resources.

The grass and dirt being upgraded is #1 on this list. The city skylines need to
be updated and revamped as many of the buildings still look too dark (no
lights on) during night games. Don't get me started on St. Louis (as many
here have referenced). For years upon years the top of the Gateway Arch has
remained very jaggy, something out of a 2000 PS2 game. I cringe to see if
it's been addressed in The Show '24, but I would say likely not.

< Presentation - following graphics this should also be given priority focus.

                            1. All MLB stadiums should have Exterior Shots. Not a fan of this a couple
new stadium exteriors a year approach. Not even the Madden team for all
of their criticism in recent years rolled out a few stadium exteriors a year.
It was all in there. Just bring the Storylines team over to take drone shots
of each stadium and give my man some needed help in this department.

                            2. More In-Game Presentation needed to keep the game experience
fresh like having sponsored plays of the game like, "Here is the Rawlings
Fielding Play of the Game" or "Here is an MLB Network or Regional
Network Look Around League Highlight". On that note since the MLB
Network is involved with SDS to bring back an on-field reporter like a
revamped Heidi Watney or perhaps Ken Rosenthal. This would also help
out the announcing crew of Boog and Singleton who have been in the
                            game awhile now.

                            3. All MLB Closers get their Signature Entrance or Walk-Up Music
Introduction. I recognize copyrights could be an issue, but in that case
just add a few generic entrances depending if for example they use a
rock, hip hop, country, ect theme. This should not be exclusive to the
                            Mets closer.

Seriously. I am completely blown away how awesome the new hair physics are compared to what we've had prior. It's a completely new experience for me seeing the flow of hair in the field. That alone is worth the price of admission. There are gripes and nitpicks as with all games, but this years game is as good as ever. There are a lot of subtle changes that were not talked about on stream but make for a great experience.

The game is good. I'm liking it a lot.

Agree its fantastic. And the hair thing is a very underrated addition. But it still bugs me that some guys long hair didn't get addressed. I'm sure it'll be fixed in a patch.
